Rules and admins are there mainly to reduce the ammount of griefing and foul play that would completely destroy the gameplay. Otherwise its all on the players.

I agree Arnoldio. But I think admins should weed out the players and SL's that refuse to communicate and teamwork, that way their slots can be populated by the good players.

Problem is a lot of the time even on mumble enforced servers when I SL I get a response from 2/9 SL's. That's very annoying. Or even just the guy i'm nearby, not a single reply even if I know he has a mic. The communication is more of an issue than your average player.

Wow. So much has changed along the way with PR and the community. Surprised hardly anyone jumped on this comment. We were all PR noobs at one time. So where would new (noob) players get to play?

It's not like 0.7 when I started playing, it's becoming like every other community. Elitists win out in the end.

Well, where I come to put is basically that the noobs that don't want to learn, or bullshit around, those are the ******** I want gone and don't belong here.

Well I certainly hope there is a difference between "noob" and "newb."

Some of the best players are new players that are eager to struggle with the funky bits of PR.

The absolute requirement for having any decent server is to not have it crash all the time.

Oh, and for someone to make lots of sex jokes.

The people you are referring to aren't "noobs" they are called GRIEFERS.

We should stop assuming that anyone a notch below our skill level is a noob or idiot. Some people have never played bf2 nilla, others find it difficult to deal with the DRASTIC changes from nilla to PR. Your never going to get away from the fact that NEW players do join said servers. How we treat them will determine somewhat whether they stay or not. Imho I hope there is more new blood to the game who see PR for what it is instead of what elitist have warped into just a lololololo fps.

A good server welcomes new players and encourages QUALITY players over skill level or popularity.

The players, players need to become regulars on a server, so they can cooperate and communicate with the other squadleaders, to make a good game happen. Else its just randomness and then you get only the drawbacks of PR with none of what sets it apart from the herd.

Good and clever admins, definitely.

Then again, a server with good and clever admins but a playerbase that's bad wouldn't work either.
