Okay guys, after some thinking and work on the map, we're thinking of switching this map to the Cryengine 3 SDK because we're quite low experienced with all this. After seeing some demonstrations of the Cryengine 3 SDK it seems considerably easier than BF2 Editor and we can import SketchUp models directly into the editor (which we're much more proficient at than 3DsMax). And since it would affect our current work too much, what do you guys think?
Also here is a model of a ski lift column I finished yesterday, to have some updates.

The cylinders have way too much sides tbh. Won't be good for performance if you have many similiar objects.

Cant really criticize on the model, as I dont know how compicated models for cryengine 3 can be. If it was for Refractor 2, i would say the cylinders have too many sides, and i ould make the grill on top i would make through alpha texture.
IMO You should get info on what cons switching to cryengine has. Will the game have the factions you want in forseeable future? Will it have the vehicles and assets you want for them?

Know its a bit late, but what would the max number of sides be for cylinders? Because im sure I can easily change the default number of sides for circles on Sketchup or I can set it while drawing.

Alrightie, another update:
Since most (in fact, pretty much all) statics on our map can't really use the PR or BF2 ones since they are very specific in what the statics are. So as you can see from the first screenshot i posted I have started modelling on some new statics for the map. The ski lift column along with around 2 or 3 models will probably be the only ones specific to the Cypress map. Other statics I have finished are...
A lodge/chalet
A shack (2 more variations to come)
And a lift machine (which is specific, but has little details RL, the details that do exist are't very visible from ground level)
Also if anyone could help me with texturing and UV map and whatnot because I'm still learning
Hawkowl is still making the terrain by hand, slowly but surely, we have the plans down, just gotta keep learning in the meantime

Hi all, just a little progress update.
I finished the height map a little while ago and I am now going to be putting it in the engine editor. From what I hear, Shaun is still working hard on some more models and has sent some finished ones off to CTRifle for some texturing and UV mapping.
