I've killed quite a few people with a knife. Mostly snipers though. Sometimes I dry hump them a few times before I knife them while my team watches...

But yeah, in general the knife is useless. I only use it when I've found myself being very, very sneaky and behind someone. Sometimes it's better for a quiet kill than shooting them, and hope they don't use voip.

I knifed a guy once after he came around the corner a few meters from me while I was shroomy visioned. There was no way I could have aimed, so the knife was my only option.

Whenever I parachute onto a position I try to land on people and knife them. I do it to the hotel on Oman, it's fun if there are snipers up there.

I am and always will be a hater of knife fights. They can be fun in certain circumstances, but they have no place in modern warfare* and thankfully the PR team has done a good job of reducing this crappy vanilla element of the game. You may feel different, but I feel that element of the game can be left to the teabaggers and medal whores.

*Please don't mention stories of spec ops knifing entire squads and gurkha's skinning japs in the war, I'm talking in a very general way.

Funny I've suddenly gotten quite the fetish for knife kills; the best way is to be a high alt. parachutist opening his chutes right on the ground. Road to Kyongnang Ni or whatever is the best for this. You can land on the roofs and just run around with that KBar in your hand slitting throats. I got 4 kills in a row this way in my last game there...

I almost never knife, as it gives away your position, if I find a sniper, I move back a bit, and shoot one bullet into there head.

Once though, I was playing EJOD Desert as the U.S. and the MEC had the Ruin, I had just finished off a mag when someone ran by me, I didn't have time to reload so I pulled out me knife quickly and knifed them, as I finished him off, I saw another guy, so I went and knifed him too. Then another. Then another. After that there were no more guys so I just pulled out my G3 and proceeded to cap the flag.

About 40 lol.

Lol completely wrong.
Its 1/2 only silenced weapons in PR.....well i suppose landing on someone(lol has happened, was a TK though ) works too.

u called that ownage? I knifed 2 snipers and 3 gaurds dead serious. I'm t3h l337 SEAL.

No it wasn't brotha. I can knife pretty well. I remember i ran out of a M4 clip on this raghead and he was looking at me with his AK the first time i missed and I just went prone and knifed his little cohones open. I later tea-bagged him with all purpose. Go look at my stats!!! Knife Kills: 2,548 which accounts 9% of my kills. Darth.Skyline: Knife Kills: 235. By the way, you're from Cyprus not UK, unless u bought the game in Cyprus

Okay we've established now that knifing is in fact still part of the game, unlike I said in the OP. But tell me this, have you all just been avoiding me or something. Come on people, with your sharp pointed weapon fetish's. Stab me if you can!

This is probably going to put a very big black mark above my head whenever I join a server now. One man and his dog are going to try and hunt me down and knife me.

BTW, knife hits to the torso of an armoured personnel should do F-all damage IMO. Knife + Kevlar = Puzzled look on guys face who's about to shoot you in the groin for trying to poke him.

Yeah, not in the head. If they are criticaly wounded, you can run off without being seen. And since the spawn times are quite large, you can bugger off before they can get back, unless your some kind of fool.

Iv been in this situation many a time and it has deemed handy.
I sprayed two chaps, pistoled another, while reloading pistol, got jumped and knifed another two, PLUS i didnt bunny hop)

(dont gasp to see mongol unsing an M4, it was before they took duracell batteries in the days of .32. Ah, the good old days ??:.)

However, this particular recollection of Drew's is BS lol.
because i dont know a kit that has an M16 and a pistol.....unless he was whoring the M4(which aint a 16 anyway).

My PR stats are BS. It says i had somehing like 2 helicopter kills.
Around every three decent rounds of Mutrah i get around 100.

I hide in hummers and wait for it to fill up, then knife everyone in them. the gunner is fun to stab in the feet because they keep ducking "bullets" mUAHAHAA!>
I think i have 50 sum knife kills in PR but who cares, I don't.

I have, but thats when im flying transport and some idiot who cant fly gets into the other one and wipes me out before i even start up the rotors.
