Most tactical objects are mundane things, like hold the streets until an armored column comes up. Defend a ammunition depot. Secure and clear a building.

Do away with flags or have counters that are longer, with a digital count down for how long you have to hold. Use the idea posted previously to have a specific number of guys only capture a flag.

I still think a map with a SEAL team securing an Oil rig would be awesome (direct copy from DC...lol)

But ya, securing an airfeild, a crash site (maybe it could actually have survivors you could pull out and save if we got the pulling things to work!), bridges, ammo depots, and even buildings would be nice.

anyone see history channel last night, the shootouts in fallujah? We MUST have a level that includes the 'candy shop' in it somewhere.

My thinking exactly, Waffen. I kind of picture it being like the scene from Clear and Present Danger, if you've ever seen it. Three white SUV's going down a narrow street with rooftops parrell to eachother. Then all of a sudden, an RPG hits the front SUV. Another RPG hits the back, and from the middle SUV, people exit the vehicle only to be shot at with AK-47's and such.

It'd be really cool to have that kind of action with in a map. Have it be a really urban map with rooftops perfect for ambushes. Have HMMWV's with their M2 machine guns looking at the roof tops, checking to see if anyone with an RPG pops out to try and hit 'em. Then when they least expect it, two RPG's hit them from adjacent allyways.

How about a VIP rescue map too? Where the person who plays the VIP starts surrounded by MEC troops in a building and the US has to get him to saftey? Not sure what would keep the VIP from running though. Maybe he starts in a room barricaded, that can only be blown up with C4. After he escapes with the room he can grab MEC weapons. When the VIP escapes the MEC are allowed to kill him on sight. Perhaps you have to get him to a large port in the city, where he has to board a boat to escape. It could take like two minutes for the boat to leave, and while this is happening the US has to protect the port from being over run by MEC. To make it really interesting, have a lot of fixed machine gun positions and TOW missiles at hand.

Exactly the scene I was envisioning, excpet with humvees.

I love this idea. It's wonderful! You could try different options of escape, you have to provide different options to keep the gameplay flavorful. Maybe an RHIB extraction? Maybe a heli extraction? Maybe a humvee extraction? WHO KNOWS!? Give all these things, and it becomes a challenge to each team to outsmart the other team, all while protecting/trying to kill the VIP. Great idea, set it up in a city near a port, or mabye a sort of blown up village, or maybe !!!!!

I just had an idea: Train! Have the VIP on a train car, can you imagine landing a SEAL or Ranger team on a moving train car!?>! How freakin sweet would that be!!? Or you could have an underground tunnel network.

I really like this idea...! (After all this is actually made, think of the awesome movies we can make, hehehehe)

i agree with the idea of having bases capted as soon as all the enemies are gone and less flags, defenses need to be imporved for the bases. and less flags, i think for every flag there should be about 4-6 players defending it or attacking it. so for every 8-12 players a flag should be there, so on a 64 player map there should be about 5 flags or so.
