Why would you be using advanced shaders on a slow PC (like with an integrated graphics chip in a laptop)? It is clearly labeled with a note stating "(High performance impact)":

Just because the performance of this feature has been improved to fix FPS degradation from particles does not mean it is now optimized to not have a high performance impact.

Can someone do a test like in this thread and confirm it's actually fixed? It feels like this bug is turning into "hardware issue".

Why can't you? Again, you should not be running advanced shaders on a potato PC, but there's nothing stopping you from turning it on and running a test, and then turning it off and running a test, if you have issues with this feature.

Yeah, we dying out here. Its so hard to tell when releases will be. Cause I seen major releases in December (1.4) February (1.5) May (1.6) Janurary (1.7) and then you got April fools.
