Saw that there were some misinformation about how to translate Swedish ranks into American. This link has a good layout and it shows clearly how to translate. So to clarify, Furir = Sergeant, Sergeant = Staff Sergeant

Ah, thanks. I guess I didn´t look around enough for info when I posted. :o ops:

It will definitely help if you ever want to get into the Hill or Gagetown. Seems like alot of the younger recruits or pushing that way these days.

If you like the way the CF's are working you, you'll just love veteran affairs.

Anthony Lloyd, himself a former soldier in the British army and a Northern Ireland and Gulf War veteran:
"The men inside (the APC) might have been UN but they were playing by a completely different set of rules. They were Swedes; in terms of individual intelligence, integrity and single-mindedness I was to find them among the most impressive soldiers I had ever encountered. In Vares their moment had come."

8-9 months military training .... long long time ago when I was a teenager. Never served though. Was told to reapply when I was older, but girls and music got in the way.

Combat Experience: Only on the streets of Glasgow ... :p
