**Making the miniguns less accurate would make the more effective!**
Why you say?
Because they sould have a larger sprea of fire. if you just got your aimer close to infantry, there would be a good chance of them dying. Also making the bullets a one shot kill would almost make up for the low ROF. IRL, miniguns are NOT the most accurate things, espescialy the a10 gun.

The thing is, its not Accuracy, its Damage
Puting less accuracy for more 'spread' means less damage on target. it takes 3 seconds to kill a technical, 3 for a person with the rounds hitting him in the chest and around him! (or along those lines)
I decided to put this to the test on al basrah where me and my friends were bored and decided to test the capabilites of the black hawk (there were only like 4 people on the server for all you psychopaths out there). I put her into hover and my gunner tried to hit my other friend. When I asked how much damage he took, he said "Have you shot at me yet?". It took us almost 20 seconds of slow speed fire to bring him down while he was walking. And he also said that rounds landed all over him but he took no damage. That is ridiculous.
Minigun
1.Hard to aim (no aimer. One is needed. Its perfectly possible and realistic)
2.Hard to hit (Even if you manage to aim properly at a guy you wont hit him)
3.Low damage (even if you hit him it wont do anything anyways)
4.ZERO splash damage (see hard to hit)
Look if miniguns don't have a large damage radius we may as well use a machine gun. The whole point of a minigun is to be able to hit infantry from FAST MOVING helicopters, ESPECIALLY on insertion.
I'm ALWAYS a fan of miniguns having a small radius splash damage...this is more realistic as it maintains the realistic "killing zone" of a real minigun and it models a similar result of a guy barely hiding around a corner from a minigun....IRL that dude would be dead by a zillion bullets eating the edge of that wall away (see video with cars). I'm sure the devs have fixed this in someway...I just hope they put in the splash damage as it would give the minigun very similar lethality in comparision to its real life counter part.
I think its not the lack of radius but more the DMG that radius has. perhaps a 40% increase in radius DMG. Direct hit should be 1hit kill as in guessing getting hit by 1 round means you are getting hit by another 5 shortly after. Im not sure if the BF2 engine can support realistic RoF for a minigun though. Perhaps the A-10 gun will need a little less accuracy, but at the same time a DMG boost against armoured targets as it is said to take 6 rounds to imobolise a modern MBT(They would probly be using the T-90 as an example).
Vassili, the miniguns aren't used because:
a) blackhawk crashes before reaching the combat area
b) the shooter probably won't do any damage so why bother
For all I can tell, miniguns need more damage and bigger spread.
