1. As said, to revive the fallen teammate and help them
2. If you don't, the fallen bodies will haunt you, especially the ones that may look weird, when transparent
EDIT: When we are already at picking up kits...
Tell me, why should people pick up Marksman/Sniper kits from fallen soldiers?
Ok, so why cant they be uber-medic whores hopping around meding&reviving and pising off the enemy by making them shoot the same guy over and over again?
I think this is the release that pushed PR enough away from vBF2 and more into it's own world. I haven't played PR for 3 hours and been entertained the whole time for quite a while, and had more fun than I ever have before. The movement changes are right on, more RO than BF which keeps people from being able to change direction like a UFO.
Being in a squad is more rewarding than ever now, things are more frantic now that you have limited ammo and bandages.
I seriously haven't had this much fun just playing the game, just running away from APCs and things that are lethal to infantry with the new movement is ridiculously fun because when you get caught out in the open you are in a bad place and the first steps you take in a direction can mean the difference btwn getting mowed down and just barely making it to cover. You can't turn to look over your shoulder either since you run slower now if you turn to look you just slowed down, so you have to commit to the run more like one would in a real flight situation. lol

Commander assets were placed in strategic locations, these are really working out and the commanders are getting quite good at their job. A team with no commander is handicapped worse than a vBF2 team now. Squads were working behind enemy lines to seek out and destroy enemy assets and RPs. I had a sniper in my squad providing cover fire and general intel and everything was going awesome. It's amazing to watch enemy squads from a distance and see there tactics develop and feel their teamwork when they come to engage. We finally won the map with some of the best pub playing I've seen. Top squad, BOO-YA!
PS Do you play incognito eggman? I don't think I've ever seen you on a server before.
Was this by chance a game you played last night? Because I was a squad leader on the Rebels side and we did ok holding you fellas off for a good while but eventually we got overrun. You're right, it was most certainly one of the most engaging battles I've been involved in with PR. Our commander was right on top of things and sending out orders that were followed and asking if we needed anything.
.607 is no doubt the best release of any game I've seen in a long time.
Do not forget about the COs. The entire system has been reworked. A whole new class of COs will need to be brought forth.
As declared, I will be one of the full time COs, or XO squads that help out the CO.

Well done Devs. I look forward to playing .6 when it comes out in July.
I 2nd that. So with the new CO changes, can someone point me to a CO tip post... We all be needing some intel on how to CO properly, as there arent many COs on the BF. Thanks in advance.
You have to compared it to what you get with the other kits. The only reason to pick the medic is for the two extra field dressings and the ability to heal which is not that great when there is no reviving, especially when it comes at the price of the PPSH instead of the AK and grenades.
The papashaw is also great when they are in the tower but haven't taken the spawn point down because unlike the other weapons you spawn on full auto and can often kill 1 or 2 Brits before dying.
That 1 or 2 guys can make the difference of holding or losing the flag.
And as the windshield melts
My tears evaporate
Leaving only charcoal to defend.
Finally I understand the feelings of the few.
From a commander’s perspective .6 is looking really good.
Define irony. A bunch of guys playing PR year after year. A game teaching initiative as the prime mover. However, in regard to EA, these guys never took the initiative.
We who play these kinds of games are the first generation of war robot pilots.Today we pilot a camera in 3D heaven,Tomorrow...http://gametactic.org/pr
It absolutely blows my mind when guys complain about stuff in .5 being BETTER than .6....sheesh! .5 was seriously a turd compared to .6. Yeah you could have some fun .5...but not always and "good" teamwork was indeed rare. I think the guys complaining about .5 are the idiots that don't work in your squad and just rush the base wanting guns blazing. I've been on a few public servers with .6 and its been awesome...teamwork, easy to find...engagements perfect range. Hit detection, pretty spot on...the first time I killed a guy running in the open with british rifleman I was like "damn...you can actually kill guys on the move now"...no more UFO movements that favor the run-n-gunners. LOVE IT. I quit PR kind of earlier...just not enough good stuff consistently on pubs. But .6, you can fight like a soldier and put tactic moves to use. IRL people just sit around and camp with rifles basically...this can happen in game, but just like IRL we have objectives that matter...before everyone just rushed around sprinting to the flags etc...I'm greatful for the move to realism and punishing the dumbies that don't consider thing. Now vehicles (tanks) aren't instant deathtraps and are feared....I love it. Before it was like...oh a tank, it'll be dead in a second...or 10 guys will continue to respawn as AT until it is....now its realistic and you HAVE to learn to keep your head down. Foolishness will get you a bullet in your *** for sure....and people will whine...too many markesmen blah blah...tanks are too powerful. And the rest of us, that learn to fight like you should, will just smile.....and then teabag you btw I was teabagging since R6 1, so no offense if you get a glory shot after being shot...its just the way I roll.
