I wholly agree with you on that. It is essential to every squad, and you should always have it, RP/bunker/firebase/supplies or not.

----Couldn't the restriction method per squad be used on the normal kits? Let's say if you have already 2 SAW's in your squad, perhaps you can be made to spawn rifleman instead, even though you selected support.

Yeah but do you remember how bad things were when everybody could just spawn with a LMG? The prone divers always won due to the prone spam instant accuracy garbage and EA's famous awful hit detection.

I just think you should be able to get a kit at any rally point (even when it is not your own) and by the flag of just about every base.

I like the current loadouts but I hope to see a CQB rifleman class in the future with an aimpoint sight and I believe the officer kit should have a carbine instead of a rifle.

The M16 has a max "effective range" of 550 meters. Maximum effective range is the maximum range within which a weapon is effective against its intended target. Meaning at that range a rifleman has a 90% change of a first round hit, (just a hit, NOT a head shot) and, BIG AND the bullet has enough energy remaining to incapacitate a man sized target. At 1000 meters the bullet would only have about 156 Ft-lbs of energy remaining, and it's remaining velocity would be about 1063 fps. That's slower than the speed of sound (1110 fps). The remaining speed and energy would barely kill a large rabbit. A 22 caliber pistol has more speed and energy than that at 30 ft.
People seem to get caught up on the max range numbers but forget that the other numbers involved as Rico pointed out matter just as much.

I think that the current assault rifle accuracey may not be the whole problem rather the fact that you can be that accurate instantly, after taking a round to the chest or running 100m.

Is deviation a cone eminating out from the barrel which increaes over distance or is it more of a tube. A tube which has a 6" spread no matter the range for example? I would hate to see accuracey deviation at all ranges increased just to compensate for long range deviation.

i was thinking about the saw and some of the sniper weapons we should be able to use the bipods. being able to set it up on the ground and on an wall or window. being able to use the bipod on the SAW should help out and keep your round on your targit.

SAW is perfect as is. But in reality SAW has a longer effective combat range than the M16, and generally speaking, heavy machine guns are more accurate than assault rifles when fired in single shot.

(The former longest recorded kill was done by a browning machine gun at a little over 2.5 km in Korea by a Canadian soldier)

Anyways, MGs do the job. You can't just go apeshit and go full auto out in the open, of course some riflemen or sharpshooter will shoot you dead, but it's unlikely they're killing you from the area you're suppressing. Bunkers is what you're suppose to suppress more, and it works fantastic. There was an entire squad in a bunker, I had my friend suppress the area while I ran up to the bunker and threw a grenade in and wiped out the squad.

Please do not put a scope on the SAW. That's a disaster waiting to happen.

Also, I'd like to request the option to have a scope or no scope on ANY kit, so medics and engineers should have access to scoped rifles and riflemen should have access to iron sights for close quarters.

yeah ,, that option looks cool to me :D
but i think SAW should not have an scope but if the minimi is moddeled that mg should have an scope.. and maybe some humvee mg's (A)

Why shouldn't the SAW get a scope when you say the Minimi should get one?

I've never seen a SAW with a scope.

And by SAW I mean any squad automatic weapon, not just the M249.
