Yuhhu! I got my aviator badge yesterday. I just played one round on Zatar and got my wings! I acctulay killed someone with my A-10! So only 2 hours of stupid badge collection and I am ready to play real team play and kill some!

This is so frustrating...I play this mod that I love so much day after day while I still have time for it (that will change rather sooner than later) and all I've got to show for it is my damn Master Gunnery Sergeant rank. Hello ABR? I should be Lieutenant Colonel, ya know?

Please fix the ABR ranking system, people. Pretty please, with a cherry on top!

I wrote a PM to the man I was told is in charge of ABR, but I'll wait for another week for his reply. After all, I'm sure he has better things to do than reset my stats. But I really hope he will respond soon...am I the only one who is stuck at a much lower in-game rank than they should have?

Commanding? That's not my style, I prefer leading a crack commando unit called the A-Team. If no-one else can help, and if you can find us (word on the street is, we play on Thors Brigade), maybe we can help your team.

Honestly, it's just this little thing in the back of my head telling me: "This isn't right. All the other players are getting what they've earned. Why not me?!?"

You know how I play, I don't give a rat's *** about getting kills, I ain't no stats whore. I get in, reach the objective and hold it, the way PR should be played. But this rank issue is simply unfair, for crying out loud.

This is actually the only reason why I installed ABR. To get rid of the promotion announcements all the time. I never cared about stats even in vBF2, I'm playing to have fun, not to hunt some piece of virtual metal.
That brought me to mods, away from those ranking whores who just play for badges n'stuff... oh well...
Maybe I'm to old for this virtual ****-contest...

i can never keep rank either - most servers i play on everyones a PFC. So we don't care team play is the way forward,

I am not the type of person who chases stats either. I am fully content to simply play spotter for my team and not kill a thing if that's what is required. However, being a military based game, its nice to have some basis for promotion and recognition of accomplishments.

The main thing I hated about vBF2 is that alot of this stuff was based on kills which is absolutely no measure of how effective you are for your team.

Okay, I wrote two very polite PMs to the man in charge of ABR, [R-DEV]TheRealFritz regarding my rank and the fact it's not progressing. I wrote him four weeks ago, and then again one week ago. No reply whatsoever. Fritz, I understand you're probably busy and have better things to do. But you could at least say something.

Again, I kindly ask you to look into my ABR rank issues. I should be Colonel now and am stuck at Master Gunnery Sergeant despite fulfilling all necessary prerequisites.

Please don't ignore me anymore, help a man out!

The lights are on but no-one's home,except for some spambots.

Seems like it died a year ago or so.

I've given up on the ABR set up.

PR should look for another rankingsystem or try to develop one

Luckily it's not entirely true. My clanmate sent a PM to TheRealFritz
several months ago and after a two-week wait he got what he wanted: a kind of rank "reset" triggering the missing rank-ups to show.

We know the man's alive because our clan boss talks to him from time to time about server administration, but I don't know why he's not responding.

Well ABR is completly down these days so I don't play at all. Who knows will it be up again.

Much more enjoyment out of a good squad/team performance with a VOIP experience.Stuff the scores/ranks.

I just found it funny that the EA splash screen was advertising ABR and their forum is full of naughty spam messages.I notice the advert had disappeared yesterday.

Hope they get their stuff sorted though.It ain't nice having your forum goosed by the bots.Hard work to clear up too.
