Thats odd,Helstrm wrote:No hurry at this point. Even if you do get it released we can't log into the account server anyhow and EA has not posted anything anywhere about the issue.
I can connect easily, i did it just a few minutes back and i had no problem, and judging from the amount of people on at the time i dont think its really a major problem which is why EA didnt post anything about it is my guess.
Cant wait for the patch

In fact the tech support line says call back Mon - Friday during business hours. This kind of support from EA makes me want to play Worms Armagedon...

Of course we all know EA shouldn't focus on making money and be a non-profit organisation. really...
There no problem with trying to make money. The problem is how you do it, and at that EA behaves really poorly. But the worse part is that costumers play their game (both in the litteral and figured sens). As long as they keep selling their games, bugs, expensions for which you should never have to pay and crappy support (or lack of, should I say), they is no reason for them to act otherwise. Give them another computer game crash (ah the '80... good memories), and we should be fine for another 20 years or so. Until them, don't expect them to act any differently.
But I'm getting off topic! Its 1800 EST, saturday. Where's that damn fix!
j/k. Take your time! I'd rather see a stable fix the a buggy patch... even if it takes another week.

I am on a friends system. Although if anyone wants ftp access to my server they are welcome to upload the patch.
I just noticed the patch I am downloading is .02 rev1 for Linux. is that right?
