PRMM .2 Hotfix

As has been brought to our attention by users submitting details on various 'glitches' graphical (and other) with the release of EA's BF2: Special Forces and the 1.12 patch for BF2. We would like to make the PR community aware that we will be releasing a patch for PRMM .2 to mend any conflicts that the 1.12 patch has brought about. The tentative release date for this patch will be sometime this coming Friday (12/02/05) or Saturday (12/03/05).

The patch will include two primary types of changes:

-PRMM .2 compatibility with 1.12 patch

-User/dev requested changes to PRMM .2

Yay! I'll finally be able to play with MORE than Exposure, BluDragon, Sig, dAbate, and the rest of the usual group.

We've become a pretty close knit bunch ever since a majority of PRMM's player populace updated to 1.12

I did the smart thing and simply had my system on shutdown for the last two weeks. I also simply refrained from updating BF2 until the patch for PRMM is released. I'm content to see that my patience has payed off. My thanks go to the Developers.

Though it has been fun to play knife/paddle fights with you guys... I *hate* to admit this, but this evening I played vanilla!!!! I'm sorry. I promise to join VA (*). :smile:

Man vanilla is so bad... so full of :fryingpan :camper: :firing: :2gunsfiri :29_slaps: and general lack of any tactics. :-? I'll be getting SF this week and play that until the hotfix is out. See you in about a week.

Coderedfox, Expose and BluDragon seemed to be the only people I saw for the past week. :-/ I blame Thanksgiving (US variant).

Perhaps an odd comment, but why call it a "hotfix" when there are new features or feature changes? Is it a hotfix or a new version?


But thank you for this quick reaction to the problems with the patch. Perhaps we'll see a bit more people on the servers then...

IRT Armand61685 & all those still wondering:

To play PRMM .2x (the version after our hotfix is installed), you will need to upgrade your BF2 to the 1.12 patch!

To clarify further, all players who wish to play multiplayer PRMM .2 after our patch is released MUST have EA's 1.12 patch installed on their system first!

If one is to patch PRMM .2 with our hotfix, and they don't have the 1.12 patch on it first, you will have the same problems as people are having now with 1.12 and PRMM .2. So please patch BF2 with 1.12 first, and then add our hotfix once it is released. Thank you!

well regardless of it's a patch or not, it can install a new version or simply fix the current one (ie. no feature change) to make it work with the update engine.

For now it's simply a fix. Nothing new will be added.

To elaborate a little more, we are fixing the compatibility issue with prmm .2 and bf2 1.12. We will also try to address some issues in prmm .2. As to which ones and how, well we are still working on it. ;)
