v0.7 will have icons for SL's and commanders to place that will show landing zones for all players.

this will hopefully make the picking up and dropping off troops a whole lot more organised and not a mess that it usualy is.

honestly right now transport choppers are not really useful because of the huge amount of spawn points. if your team is doing well.... theres usual;ly no reason to use the transport choppers cause you already have tons of options to spawn. and if your team is doing poorly, the choppers wont help you much either.

this will change in v0.7 and dedicated transport players will be seen as extremely useful, and even essential to success on large scale maps.

Fantastic to hear! :D Imo, the SL- spawnpoint should be removed.

i like getting transported by a chopper:
when i know the pilot hes in my squad
when he is nor in my squad but can read destination wishes via chat

i dont like
guys hovering over me unrequested
guys throwing me in the middle of obvious hot areas, risking troops live same as the chopper itself.
bh pilots/crew thinking the miniguns are turning the uh60 into an attack beast.

I used to fly at almost every opportunity I had. If it went up I took it. But all the teamkilling, constant bickering, in-fighting, the intense competition of getting an aircraft, the time spent practicing, combined with the constant risk of wasting hours waiting for aircraft compounded by base raping, not to mention that a lot of aircraft don't always work the way they should, all of this combined can make flying a nightmare. I suppose a lot of this adds the somewhat realistic effect of the bureaucratic BS that it takes to get a flying slot in reality. But once you get past all of that, all the stuff that doesn't have to do with flying but comes with it, I suppose that once in awhile you kind of have time to remember why you wanted to fly in the first place. Seldom.

I'm pretty new to PR but in a game the other day, our squad got into a little bird the SL told the pilot where to go and he went there, down and out fast it was pure poetry. Full on fast attack to capture the flag.

It's this that makes me love PR and good pilots.

You're a God Fuzz

(My last wish, which will unfotunatly never come true is to have some kind of training system, that gives you the pilot status, armor crewman status and so on, without which you cant request particular kit, get in the certain vehicle possition).

Actually that may be possible through a ranking system. Whether or not it's actually workable and practical is another matter, but in theory it could be doable.

Hell, it's like chinese whispers anyway... by the time it's been repeated on 10 other subsections of the forums, the word on the wire will be that 0.7 will have SLs able to deploy landing strips from supply trucks :p lol.

See, he was doing right in the first place then - tactical misinformation... so, so cunning!

Which means that by the time it's been repeated on 10 other subsections of the forums, the word on the wire will be that 0.7 will have SLs able to deploy entire airbases from the back of their asses :p

The main reason for people being scared of choppers is this : NSFW (kind)
Half the time it ends up like that.

I am afraid of pilots, ok I am maybe afraid of everything, but I usually jump only into a chopper, if I know the pilot.
