Or you could put down the strawman and read what I said again. Did I say that you said concealment was better than cover? No, I was just pointing out that "concealment" doesn't actually exist in BF2.LeadMagnet wrote:If you would be so kind as to point out where I advocated concealment over cover? Also, anything that can be seen and/or destroyed by a tank is not cover. Looks like you need to brush up on the definition yourself.
Well obviously, however I am sceptical of how effective the thermal sights are at range against someone dug-in in the (hot) desert. Ditto when there's explosions and burning wrecks dotted around. If we're going to talk about "reality", then let us not forget that there is also a lot less contrast between a sniper in a gille suit and the bush he's hiding in.A bush is not cover, its concealment. In reality they have thermal sights and can fire alot longer than 1000 meters.
Yah, or we could just log out of the server and play a different map for the thirty minutes of ganking / MB camping we take waiting for our anti-vehicle assets to respawn. In short, get behind a physical landmass (hill, sand dune, rock etc), a shipping container or anything that can keep you both out of sight and away from direct fire.
Also one of numerous weaknesses tanks have which are non-exploitable in PR, making tanks OP and often game-breakers.As to the coax being wildly inaccurate at close range, good job, you've just described having a gunfight in a phonebooth with a sniper rifle.
And then get tank-sniped before you can even get in range to get a lock; let alone the inevitable lack of a commander, lack of assets, lack of a gunner in the chopper, lack of communication, mistiming of the laser-designation resulting in you getting shot right before you reestablish the lock, etc etc.buy a soflam
