Damn, guess I've been one of those cheaters. My bad. I would ask in-game what the deal was but no one seemed to know. Reinstalled PR .75 thinking maybe that would help but nope. Thanks for clearing it up.

You took the time to try and fix it; that's not intentionally cheating. All fixed up and getting black screened to hell and back like the rest of us poor sods now? :D

Hehe yeah, it's gonna be rough, having to adjust to it later than everyone else. Was wondering why I was suddenly 1000x better than I had been in previous versions :P

yha that game was pretty bad eddie, i dont think it will make me stop playing but really makes me look down on the players that would turn it off, plus it gives you a reason to tell your squad when you get wasted by the lgm on the hill :P

We will probably be very shocked to know some of the jerks using this cheat!! I am almost positive I could name two of the top ranked players on TG that are. I wont because there is no way to prove it, but I play this mod every day and I have started to see some strange things like consistantly getting unbelievable k/d ratios when not in armor. I have played with these 2 guys im thinking of and something is definetly different about their game. I just hope you guys can weed these jerks out.

wood, I had 30:1 K/D ratio at some point as infantry in TG server - why how who??some players are just good at what they're doing and I was sniping people from 600m+, if I take other kits I'm at 1:1 or 2:1 if I'm on a good day.
You really can't claim people are cheating by looking at the K/D ratio, they can be sniping or using SAW which bring lots of kills.

I guess it's time for a break until this gets fixed.

More time to find Rhino's name on OGT.

I'll post the md5-checks for pr0.756 @ punksbusted today.
A guy not using the pr.exe and not moving around the files, will not be able to play on a pr-server using those checks.
I just had no time the past days and i am downloading the client-files right now.
Hope that helps.

and boys, don't be too quick with judging a situation. if you have already lined up your target and THEN get suppressed it is very likely you can hit it up to medium range despite the suppression effect.

Seems like "RE-ENABLE YOUR SHADERS CHEATER!" will become the next "BS HAX!".

Hopefully the devs will come up with a fix like the MD5 check shortly to end these ridiculous accusations.

You are using the shortcut to pr.exe to launch, aren't you?

If you're skeptical of a player on TG, just check the Battlerecorder of the round in Community tab and download the proper match. You can watch the player you suspect, see if bullets land near him, and make your decision.

Still, some with uber computers can still kill with the suppression effect. It's all about adapting.

0.756 the way it was shipped gives dishonest people an edge. Why do the devs want to give dishonest people an edge?

I think i got kicked the first time i played .75 after a while for trouble with my shaders by PB, and i remember other people commenting on this too on the server. They said to clear the BF2 cache wich i did an all was well after that, this was on the day of the release or the day after on OP Archer.
If you can read this the ***** fell off.

Launching by the old shortcut doesn't work and anyone willingly using the other way without knowing about he's cheating gotta be stupid. It takes more than twice as long this way.

Wrong!
'[R-DEV wrote:Jaymz;640072']It has become commonly known that the shaders run through the PR.exe file can essentially be turned off by altering how PR is run. No matter how simple it is to achieve this, it is considered cheating.

Read before you start to write. Even I had this "bug/cheat or what ever" and i didnt now that, before one guy in TS told me this. I just thought the suppression effect isnt so hard how it was on the video because a effect the 0.7 one is still there. After this information I start PR with the shortcut on my desktop and the effect was like in the video.

BATTLE RECORDER is a great tool for this.

You can even watch in slow motion. You can use it to study a situation and see what "really" happened. If you see shots hitting within a few meters of a player, and that player is still picking and shooting at targets that are spread apart, then you most likely are looking at a cheater. Especially if he has to change his angle by 15 to 20 degrees or more to get on a new target.

Unless a player is right in front of you and you lined him up in the cross hairs before you got suppressed, it will be all but impossible for you to find him while suppressed. I've watched "suppressed" players turn 90 and 180 degrees and one shot other players that are 50 and 100 meters away. While a SAW gunner is unloading on him, and landing shots 6 inches away from that player. Yeah right, accident my butt!

Sometimes is not easy to tell, but most times it is obvious they are NOT getting the suppression effect. I have found some very obvious cheaters that way.
