(didn't finish reading the other pages, sorry if someone mentioned it)

<stupid>Maybe switch the pistol and the rifle. Can it be done so the default weapon is the pistol and the carbine is some obscure slot? Newbies will hate the kit and suicide/switch/disconnect.</stupid>

<not-as-stupid>Make the kit cost score points and respawn time when selected (with a text message telling you on each spawn). Make sure proper use of the kit provides enough points/time to negate the penalties.</not-as-stupid>
  • Forward Observer ("Fwd Obsrvr" or "Observer") - One of their main abilities
  • UWS (Unconventional Warfare Soldier) - Soldiers almost exclusively use their guns (brains first, of course), but Spec Ops use explosives, grapples, laser markers, etc.
  • Noncombat - I've heard that Spec Ops are trained for combat if needed but their missions involve avoiding combat... So I've heard.
  • Team Support - Most of their roles support the team
  • Never Engage With Battle (listed as NEWB)
  • Demolition, Observation, and Repelling Kit (listed as DORK) (repel as in moving down a rope)
  • Demolition and Unconventional Combat Kit (listed as DUCK)
  • Disconnect (You'd select "Disconnect" from the kit menu) - You spawn/equip with a large minigun (0 damage) selected, and if you don't switch to another weapon in 10sec you are kicked/killed. If possible, give the message "Read the fine manual!" 1 sec before kicking/killing. Or better yet, if the script can kick them, it says "Disconnecting as requested". ;)

Infiltrator, Ghost, Berets, SAS, Demo, Special Tactics, anything with "special" in it

(thats what i experiencd today) , i was on jabal. got inserted in A1 waited for a CP to pop up. blew it up after 15 minutes sneaking in their base, moved around the base blew up the bridge. askd supplies in G2, chopper came in every 30 minutes for a fresh drop. got new c4 put 2 down on the ditch near the road, everytime a fully loaded engineer squad in a truck or vehicle came in i blew them up. then i got spotted throwed smoke, fired some controlled burts with the m4 all enemies down. then swom to the east al burj, when i regrouped on my squad. but they stopped advancing due too a apc in their. i sneaked up to him, placed everything on him what i had left on explosives. run away. minute later bOOOMMM ! :D our forces moved into the city capped it, than i went back over the river, sneaked up to un aware AA gunners, took them out with pistol, blew AA up. then main forces moved into the mec main. i was back in the helicopter to carrier. havent died once.

I know im awesome :D

All of which can be accomplished by the Engineer Kit and easier since he has a mine. But the Spec Ops kit is being revamped for .8, hopefully it will become diverse enough to warrent being used over an Engie.

2 Engineers > a whole enemy team(if played right). The Rifles are 3 times as accurate, 2 c4 charges in between them is enough for each combat engagement, And AT mines are wicked useful for setting down traps.(Fools road, Militia base. Me and another Engy snuck into Their base, Whilst my Squad leader, and 2 other Rifleman watched over us. We took out their apcs and tanks, and set up our at mines in such a way that they were unseen, but felt. Damn good times in .708, AK47 deviation was freaking nice, Could'nt touch us even from 100m)

Well my squad and 1 other squad was playing good rest was all over the map, everyone was thankfull of what i did 8)
If youre on a server and you see a squad called: spec nubs or SF SAB, thats me :)

This thread is going off-topic, but provides some lulz.
As the DEVs have stated, wait for .8, and you shall be enlightened. ;)

On another note, the kit should be named Jack Bauer and have the ability to attack using only its teeth.
