Have you guys gotten enough people to even do this so far? I only see 3 in the forums.

I wonder if there's a way anybody could come up with a way to make basic tactics for some of the guys that aren't too intense in PR, like I have a job and no time for clans or the tournament, plus a gf and that's pretty tiring really. Can there be some type of simple template for squad tactics or whatnot? Plus might provide some knowledge to some of the rest of the people that don't really know what to do in a squad to make it effective.

I could give you some basic squad tactics if you want that are pretty simple, but still advanced in a way and usually get the job done for me. I have Microsoft Office Word 2003, and if there is anyway to post it when I finish here just tell me since I could make it more through on Office Word and show some basic diagrams.

I'll join you if it's cool, though I can't do it until I get a new 6800gt back from BFG tech. I tried prmm with my 5200 on all low except draw distance and I managed a steady 15fps the whole game. Oddly enough, my framerates rose sometimes to 60fps when I died, the game was mocking me dammit.

That will always happen...it's not like the sky has many polygons and textures to draw. I was able to make aprox 20 - 30 fps with my GeForce Fx 5200 128MBs 8x AGP...when I had it that is, I now have a BGF 6800 GT 256MB :)

And to Spyder: Copy that, I'll do my best to be there since I always have trouble with timezones -_-

I never looked at my fps prior to testing my 6800gt's limits so I never knew that I was constantly under what our eyes see as true fluid motion(24 I think). I had assumed how I played was normal. When I got my new card shocked at how fluid everything moved. In fact, it seemed that like everything was moving in fast motion. Now it is quite the opposite and seems like everything is slow. Moving around is tolerable, ranged combat is ok, but anything up close I can't fight for ****.

Damn, a lot o posts on that one. Let me say this. Although spyder's a great artist and all. it is not easy to draw them out and cover all details, they may confuse you with the actual doing part of the movements. Attend the training sessions and you will see how they would help in the event of firefights. USM uses these all the time so long as we have a trained team in the server at the time, and I'm tellin you they work, else we wouldn't even waste our time. You'll see Spyder and I, in servers all the time working together as a buddy team and we'll usually come out 1st and 2nd.

Also, I you must know that many of the tactics from real life military have been adjusted to fit the game. Yes I know how the wedge goes and have attempted to adjust it for the gamming community, Deuce6 was right on with the alpha team on line and bravo team flanking, I've showed this to my team several times. The wedge formation that you put there is perfect and is used for large movements of two or more squads. The wedge that we've been covering usually consists of 1 squad moving through a danger zone. I will cover more on platoon and company movements at a later time. For now, just attend the training and you'll see.
