The really weird thing about that statement is that it's true... but on these forums we never, ever, seem to have people saying that they're one of the statistical majority of people who aren't able to shoot 30 shots in 15 seconds in semi-auto, run 100m in 10 seconds in full combat gear or generally perform any feat the team have limited through code. It's like everyone is better than everyone else at everything!frrankosuave wrote:.... but on the other hand some people do think faster than others...

Re: Rate of Fire on Semi automatic guns
I for one am looking forward to a reduction in the firing delay in semi auto. In 0.75 I used double and triple tap in everything but extreme CQB. I practised for months until I got the technique down and got very proficient at effective, controlled fire. I always thought that the use of fire discipline in CQB was regarded as skillful and realistic however the changes in 0.8 seem to punish this style of play.
The slowing of ROF for semi auto combined with the deviation increases has turned CQB in to a farce at times. It seems, on a bad day, like it pays to go full auto and circle strafe, something I see more in 0.8 than the previous version. Obviously not the DEV's intent but perhaps an unfortunate side effect. For that alone I prefer 0.756 but I understand the thinking behind the changes. Just hope 0.85 addresses this and perhaps lands somewhere between the two versions.
