lol

i downloaded crysis demo (dunno how it compares to the actual game) and i can run it all on medium graphics with no antialiasing on nd it runs smooth

try increasing ur paging file i have nvidia 260 and have everything on high but dnt use anti alisiting and dnt really get any lag typically i only get lag wen my ping jumps generally this is wen other ppl r using the internet in my house but got a 20mb connection so dosent really bother me

Sometimes anti-virus programs can get in the way of gaming. I found my mcaffee used to occasionally take all the CPU and freeze the game up constantly for 5 seconds or so.

Check your nvidia control panel settings. Things like triple buffering should be enabled to get smoother frame rates. There's a control panel tweak guide somewhere if you're interested, as well as a operating system optimisation/tweak guide which may help you clear out the **** that might be building up on your computer.

I found that defragging every few months seems to help load times and reduce stutter just a tad - I'm running an old p4 so it's much more noticeable.
Also what's your power supply make, budget ones can be a bit dodgy and unreliable.

Those are the things I can think of right now, hope you get your problem sorted soon ^_^
