Great games last night guys, shame the server crashed on Fallujah, I can't believe we maintained a 200-9 KD as a team for ages, then the INS got their **** together and just ambushed the hell out of us. We were on the road to defeat, and I quite happily give the INS that win and tip my hat to their strategy after the first hour.
HAHA.. I saw that live on JustinTV. Awesome teamwork and squadleading Rudd.
I must get on TG some more..

The guys who play in PW nights and TG events really do come toghter and work towards their goals. It can be a thing of beauty when team wide movements work, heck even if they dont. Those that have experianced a higher standard of play here seem to stick around. At the end that is what "makes" the server. Its not the rules, web site, or 3rd party voip. Its the standards and the dedicated regulars who live by them that make a server. I like to think that more people can get on and enjoy a new fresh, tactic basied mission every time. The possibilty to do great things every round exist, they just need the people to run with it.

Agreed, I had a great time on fallujah that day. When your whole team is working together, mumble running etc. then PR moves to a whole new level of online gaming - something you don't find anywhere else.
Sometimes though I wish that the TG server had only one channel for mumble since I miss those priceless conversations between dead marines and the dead bomb car driver after it blew up their hummer!

That is a perfect example of why we don't run a single channel, you should be chatting with your team instead of dead enemies and those situations often result in taunting and vanilla type play. Teams generally work better across squads when they don't talk to the other team at all.

That was only meant as a slightly humorous example. Since I once had a very pleasant chat with a few guys on the other team while we waited to respawn. On servers with one channel it is extremely rare in my experience that you hear the other team at all as engagements usually begin beyond the range of mumble, excluding oddball scenario's like I mentioned or ghost train type dense jungle maps in which case it can add an interesting tactical aspect when you have a chance to overhear the enemy in the jungle.

Don't take my comment as harsh, it was intended as a description of how we approach the communication tool.
If you played any Half life mods like CounterStrike a lot of servers would leave all talk on, so both teams could talk to each other. I always found those games to be less teamwork oriented and more playing around. When I play on PR servers will a single mumble channel most of what I heard was either the dead enemies talking or spouting gibberish, singing songs or other things that ruin immersion. People don't talk to their team when they can chat it up with some random enemy.
Sure this can have entertaining moments, but they drag down teamwork and replace it with chat room behavior overall. In jungle maps you don't hear the enemies VOIP, mumble with two channels works in a similar way, but maybe in the future it will just play gibberish for enemies so they know you are talking but won't understand the words

Just because a few guys fought over a vehicle, does not mean TG is a bad server. To be honest, TG is one of the best servers, if not, the best.
Go and troll somewhere else.

Thank you for your feedback. Is there any standard, rule or other that you take issue with? Or is it more of an overall "tg sucks" kinda vibe?

So your football team wins 1 game in 2 years and all of a sudden people in Detroit cop an attitude?
Seriously, if you don't like TG then consider doing the following:
1) Stop reading the feedback thread about it (you don't like the server so why do you care to follow any more posts about it?)
2) Stop posting trash in the feedback thread (you wouldn't want people to think you're a troll and get your forum account banned here, would you?).
3) Don't play on the server, even if it is the only one populated when you want to play (download single player, then you can have whatever asset your little heart desires)
4) Please don't judge a server by your one or two bad experiences on it. I'm sure that if everyone did that people would say every server sucks.
Thanks for your time.

Really like this server, always have a great match on it, But I have just played about 2 rounds nd it changed to Kozelsk.
I got in a really good squad with ppl i know and were on TS having a really good round and then one of my mates out of TS gets kicked to make room for Admin

so we carry on without him and we was in a compound with enemy outside it, then my squad leader gets shots and our medic so I hold back for a few mins and then I see enemy come in, I shot all of them down with my AR kit and then ran to the medic kit grabbed it and revived sqd leader and as im healing him.................Disconnected to make room for admin.

I know admins should be on the server before me but couldnt u atleast kick someone else that wasnt doing anything? Our commander was driving round in a supply truck dropping of crates for us, that is good teamwork ye but that isnt the commanders job.

I thought the list was getting shuffled every week or two, sometimes the same maps come up in prime time due to the speed of completing other maps. I remember the month when Kashan was newly released and it had such long rounds that it was always on for the two hours I was available to play every day of the week even though there were 9 other maps in the rotation.
Never hurts to leave a map or two out for a week, I believe there is a maplist suggestion thread on the TG forums to suggest a list.

yes, we are changing the maplist every week.
I have the same problem rudd,
but sometimes we are lucky and an admin asks us if we want to skip a map

Alot of teamwork in the server (suprising with all the americans) which is enjoyable , theres always atleast 10 people on mumble and almost everyone speaks english. Thumbs up from me , better than UKWF but has the disadvantage for me as i get high ping.

The player on the longest is kicked for Supporting members, and I also believe for admins if an admin has to get on (I am not an admin), have you visited
Tactical Gamer ? All the info you need regarding The Primer, SOPs, Rules of PR @ TG's Server and reasons on how not to be kicked for a supporting member, and explanations as to what a supporting member can be found on the website.
There is also a section devoted to Project Reality, and a sub forum located within the Battlefield 2 forum which includes After-Action reports and Battle tips and tactics.

Shouldnt it be "The player on the shortest time gets kicked for supporting members"

??:

No, the idea is to allow all players an equal chance to get some time in. It would suck if you waited 10 min trying to get in only to get kicked in the 1st 30sec via SM.

True, It works both ways in my opinion though. Its Good and Bad .
