in one of the recent build of PR the number of seats in the boat was upped from 6 to 8.
and i havent paid enought attention to my own thread, so im kinda lost now. as for the LCVP that was shown, have you seen any D-Day landing in any WWII movie, ever?
and the squad i was in was called "transport" we were not a dedicated boat squad, but had access to all transports on the carrier.
all im saying is that when the Sh!t hits the fan, or more approperatly the AA hits the helis, wouldnt you think people would be desprate to get back to shore in any way they can. and if there was a squad ready and waiting to do just that, they would jump at the chance?
I'd like to see a supply chopper be able to drop a Rhib, so you could do some cool water insertions and only risk a boat and not the whole bird.

I don't know if this was suggested already but what do you guys think about being able to duck down inside the existing boats or have the default stance in the boat be much lower? Whenever I see pictures of people using the RIB in hostile terroritory they're always laying down or hunched over.

I'd like to see the RHIBs armed with a little larger caliber MG. I wouldn't mind forming a squad to just run other squads back and forth around with the RHIB if it had a M2 .50. Then again, I'm a gun nut and a firm believer in realism, and I see most of the RHIBs in the US military armed with a .50 on the front, and 2 M240Gs on the side for 240 degrees of fire support and protection. So maybe we could have a gunboat version of the RHIB.

If this "gunboat" gets introduced into PR, Bi Ming will turn into "boathunt"...

i cant find the thread, but someone sugested that the hueys on Jabal could drop small boats to go from one beach to the other. they wern't RHIB's like we see from vBF2, but smaller and with no machine guns. i dont know what happened to the thread, but the idea was generally well recived. the boat would have been either a permanitly fixed object to the bottom of the model or would have been "invisable" and dropped like the supply crates or repair stations from the logistics truck. since theres been a long discusion about putting vehicals inside other vehicals and collision, it couldnt be done any other way.

Strap a few more guns on the original RHIB and your set.

Fixed....all you need is the code at the end of the url

Yeah, I would rather see the smaller version, perhaps even paddle driven. But, like anything new it would require a new model.

The way those boats go through ammo, they will need a support ship in tow to re-arm!
I do agree that there should be a new boat model besides the current RHIB. That looks like a boat I'd go fish for strippers, (minus the gun on front).

Have them re-arm at the LHDs or docks that are near areas that have been captured.
