Maybe it's mainly a ATI problem? almost everyone here listed ATI's (or ram issue)
i have a dualcore 2.4 OC @ 3.2
8gb of ram @ 1050
Geforce 8800GTX 768mb
windows 7 64bit
My nvidia settings are on high quailty, 16x AA
my PR is all on HIGH with AA at 8x 1680x1050
and when i stand at the canadian base on Yamalia and look south my FPS only drops to 55, no less...
on Lashkar Valley it doesn't drop below 60...
Beirut from the carrier i get 100, but in the city it drops down to 40 in some places

Probably not gonna get "fixed" too soon seeing as it made it through player testing. Sadly its an issue of, the way
I see it at least, "If you want all these new maps and new changes, youll have to upgrade eventually"
PR is a new game on an old engine. I have to continually turn down settings on each release until I can graduate and get some money towards a new processor/PC.
Just the way of things, as I see it.
of course, if there turns out to be an actual object that is hogging memory[as once happened on Korengal] then the item will be tended to as soon as reasonably possible

+1. I've seen some ppl with great rigs complaining about the frame rate as well.
I'm wondering how my system is going to run 0.9, but I won't be able to try it until Saturday night.

windows 7 64bit
Dualcore Pentium 2.4

I'm just not able to play like this. I too have to sit out, and hope that the Dev's will find some sort of bug, because the huge switch of smooth FPS to huge lagg is too much of a difference to blame it on hardware.

e4500
2gb ram
win7
PR is stuttering as hell(not low fps), impossible to play like that.. even on low settings. I know its a memory problem, but how do i fix it?

Na its not hardware. It's definetly a map problem. The performance difference between versions should not be this drastic.

OK i have to make one thing clear, what i am stating is that the FPS drops when youre facing certain directions, and not the overall FPS
E.x facing north on gaza gave me a 20~ fps, then i turn around facing south and my FPS goes up significantly to 70~
I really dont think its a hardware issue, because changing everything to low doesnt do anything at all
DUNNO/BE HEY I REMEBER YOU, yes we got pwend...
But i didnt have this problem on that russia vs. canada map yamalia or W/O

Ok i take that back,it still lags/major fps drops all over the place -.-
We can only wait for fix,its a shame because i really wanted to try this game with some great teamwork and such

I got so excited about this but now i realise the Devs are trying to rape poor people into submission.
We can't all have 12gbs of Ram and a Ghz quad core.

Its not that.
Its just an optimization problem.

Geez I have 2gb ram and a duo core you dont need a overkill PC to do it at 100fps

Well you apparantly do need an overkill pc to get above 20 fps on certain maps currently.

DEV's put a lot of work and their spare time into a
FREE mod, and you make statements like that?
From what I've read, it's an optimization problem much like Dragonfire said.
To think that the DEV's have a secret adgenda against poor peolpe is just ridiculous.
Make useful comments that will help them isolate the issues rather then insulting their hard work.

I have a pretty old machine:
P4 3ghz
2,5 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT
So it doesnt come as a surprise that I'm getting fps drop to 15 on lashkar valley (btw it doesn't drop below 15. Is this because of the fps lock?) when running around in the fields. Driving a jeep down the main road is a no go for me. It lags like hell.
But I don't think other maps were too laggy (tried Silent Hill and Beirut as well).
I hope a server will run low requirements maps at some point.

I've just tried Fallujah and Gaza on local and haven't noticed any significant fps drop or anything related to it. I also played a round of Gaza a few hours ago on a fully populated server and it worked fine for me.
I play with everything maxed out @ 1680x1050 with 4xAA on my ancient 7600GT (overclocked) and:
E6600 (stock)
2GB RAM (stock)
Win XP SP3.
The only thing that spoiled 0.9 release for me is that "#$$#$& memory error that prevents me from trying out all the new maps we got today. It either causes a CTD without any error report (in windowed mode) or a memory error at random % of map being loaded.
I also noticed longer load in times as mentioned above but I haven't reinstalled my windows for over a year so that could be the cause.

see this looks like a problem with the mod not hardware
