-Size 512 erh... I think. The medium sized one.
Yep, I know its pretty flat, I will try to figure something out.
-The water.con is the one from Wake 2007 too. Should I not use it?

Well, it's unoriginal... I just don't like doing that personally because you can't customize it to match your sky. If you try, you will lose those visible wave patterns and it'll be the same. How do you get the wave patterns to show anyway? I've turned the animation speed to 10 and I can't see it. I've turned it to 20, still can't see it. I've changed the colors too...

I dunno, but look at the water on my map...It is half light blue and has texture and glare, while the other half is half gay and doesnt look like the first half...
What is a good suggestion for the water.con though? I was just being a ****** and didnt want to search on maps for good water. Yours looks pretty good though. Remeber to place your envmaps.

That depends on what the weather is going to be ?

the 1/2 colour thing in the water is just something that happens in the editor.

Don't worry about the height's yet..
Worry about the size of the map..!!
---------------------------
People will be able to see the egde when they are playing.. If they get close enought to the egde..
If i was in your place/position or shoes - I would try make a new map - 1024 - 2
And take the heightmap from this one - That shows the vulcano in black and white..
Open the heightmap in photoshop (the new 1024 heightmap) - and move the volcano heightmap (512) onto the emty 1024 heightmap...
Place it in the center.
I have never done this before myself, dunno if it will work, but it's worth the try i think...
Try ask Rhino - he usually know these things.

If you seen previous screenies, its going to be a sunset type of enviorment. Very luminous orange looking. That of course is always subject to change, but I am satisfied with it.
If you could help me try to pick out a good one that would be great.

as long as the outside was all water it would not be a prob that his terrain is close to the edge.

All the "outside" terrain is water. yet it is black in the editor. I dont know why, but maybe the ST uses seperate Envmaps? I have no idea.
BTW I have NOOOOO iade how to use heightmaps and PS together. Hell I dont know how they even associate with the editor.

Nice..
Edit: it's (nice) if it can stay 512 as Rhino says, cause then you can add a few more tress.. And less fog.
I would suggest you start building a small city area - beneath the volcano..
Maybe even make a road around the volcano.
Just ideas... And try figure out what you would like to see for yourself, maybe you can suprize us.
Maybe build up the cliffs around the small lake.. And just lower it where you want people to get ashore.. A small lake beach maybe.. Fishing huts and stuff..

Yeah, happy birthday to you too!
Some nice suggestions from Thomazz.
I want to see this map come out at least as a beta so I can get killed on it...

Hopefully by the Volcano!

It has been interesting watching you work through this design, thanks for sharing so early. I like the concept, this could be a very neat map.

Thanks.
Oh, and before I fudge my map up with any type of anything else... I am going to back the folder up. With the 20+ hours spent so far, and my inability to create any concept ideas right now, I am totally not trusting myself.
Oops. gtg. Write me up more ideas though! I cant do it without your help

. Plus I am making it for you guys, not just me. Im going to work on it a lot this weekend if my school work doesnt interupt progress. Expect pictures soon!

Which sky texture did you use?
And make sure the Sun is setting in the west. However, this is the land where the Sun rises, and not the land where the Sun sets.
