I like this. I've been waiting to see a near realisticaly sized map for air combat. Good work. Love the clouds.

T'would be nice if the map was altered so that the island is moved to the current position of the chinese uncapable so that the battle is for air supremacy in the first instance between the carrier and the island airbase so the uncap would physically remain where it is on the map .... with the few infantry manning AA or performing infiltration only appeasing the spec ops obsessives.
Then and only then have a day 2 map with the amphibious carrier much closer to the island with air supremacy won by the attacker, no jets whatsoever instead helicopter and amphibious vehicles assaulting the beaches in an armour-lite and infantry-heavy fight.

the island has to be in the middle of the map, or you will get the unscaled colourmaps poping out

I would love that setting but unfortunatly ATM that is not possible...
but who knows... ill look into that, maybe some ideas start to popout...

ye we really need a Chinese carrier but to make a carrier static is a hell of alot of work. Nice to see it has a ski ramp

well the half completed varyag was bought from ukraine in 1999 by a macau businessman claiming that it will be converted into a floating casino.
3 years later it was seen at a heavily guarded PLA shipyard with extensive repairs and a nice new coat of PLAN grey paint, in 2006 russia sold 50 carrier borne su-33s to china, in 2007 her flight deck turf was laid and there are unconfirmed reports that the ship has been renamed Shi Lang after a famous ming dynasty admiral who retook taiwan...

you should remove those sandbags o nthe carrier , and replace that AA gun with phalax or something new

some feedback.
Light settings still need fixing, they do not suit the sky atall, far too bright and so is the water..
your sunken trees look really odd... did you place your trees as static? thats really bad for performance.. place them as overgrowth when not doing them is special places...
4 carriers? 2 of which can be captured? very unrealistic and bad for gameplay... What you may want to do is make 2 flags NW and SE of the island with a huge cap radius for air superiority flags if you want some more fighting for flags away from the island.
Whats your current flag cap order? cant see any A and D markers... is it just conquest??
Sandbags on a carrier? Is that realistic? never ever seen it in any pics before... (thats modern day) I see it serving not much purpose aswell, I would remove them.
Colour map is looking rather low detail, did you use the vBF2 colour map and strech it by any chance? I would touch alot of the areas up or redo it compltely, mainly terrain so wouldnt take long, can do most of it with Tpaint if used right. ah infact its probaly cos its a scale 8 map, no worries.
extended carriers are looking pretty odd, carriers dont have on / off ramps at the front / past the middle cos otherwise planes would need to taxi across the runway to the takeoff postion, when they are lifted up in the back, they are basicly ready to go. Would hold up the traffic flow if they did... I would just use the normal stock setup...
and it also needs lightmaps which im sure you are well aware of.
also do USMC start off with the airfiled, i see you are on the carrier and its capped?
keep up the gd work.
EDIT: also if you have 2 carriers cos you are running out of deck space, you can always set your plane spawns to spawn more than 1 object.
