It could do with a bit of tweaking. Maybe expanded a little to give the US more options instead of a full frontal rush which ultimately ends in being completely obliterated with no team work (which is often the case).


It could be a really really good map if there was a bit more cover, like another forest between where they spawn and the chinese bunkers in the middle of the map so essentially the first time the chinese actually see the US is when they emerge from the tree line.

Voted "Yes" until this actually happens though.

Hills of Hamyong simlply sucks... I dont know who had the idea to keep this inside 0.75

It is a good map and enjoyable even if you get pwned cos squad play is a must! I've only played it twice and both on US and I loved it! its a great map! Didnt win but still! Was SL for both and heres what i find useful in your squad

Can't go wrong with that!I think its a map you just need to take a step by step, and teamplay be a must!

But an idea for it is although artillery has been taken off i believe, why not put it on for that map for the US, cos Artillery cover would be extremely useful and not unrealistic as artillery is a vital asset. Make the area where it hits slightly bigger and BAM! It's real life! It would force the Chinese to go into cover and give a like 15-30 second advance time to the US which IMO is all that is needed to make it an awesome map!

No one attacks like this anymore. Artillery or not.

There was arty in the previous version but was mostly just good for nothing. The problem with it was that you needed someone to designate the spot for the commander. And the one to designate had to stick his head out. Guess what happened then...

Wha? The only poor quality sniper rifle is the Chinese marksman, even then it is ok sometimes. All sniper rifles preform great once you realize that you have to use the enter key to fire instead of the mouse.

Anyways, I like the concept of the map, but it needs some help. I also think the uber air strike every-five-seconds option for the Chinese isn't very fun. This map shouldn't be removed, just changed.

this was the first map i ever played and thought it was ok, but i was kinda put off, until i got into Kashan Desert and saw one of those A-10 beasts, then yeh i was and still am hooked. But seriously this map isn't that bad it's just hard for the US team, very very very etc etc etc hard! remove the dam HaT and LaT kits and it'd be good!

I have tried Hamyong a few times. Each time was specifically what has been described over and over. I rarely see servers with it anymore, and if I do I avoid them like the plague and go play some fun maps like Qwai River or Qinling if I'm in a PLA kind of mood.

Agreed with the "Yes" to remove it.

it could do with the flags on the ridge neutral from the start china spawn in forest then it would be a great battle on the top :)

pffft you think Hamyong and phoenix were bad? you should have tried Oasis! now that was a true meat grinder. Was fun if you were on the winning team, boring if you wern't!

Well hamyong would be better if the map was bigger...

And phoneix could use some tweaks...
