Realy nice

But at 1.55-2.02 no one would build a trench exit like this, except you havent enough time to build it. Cause now you have to run a hill up with nearly no cover. Think everyone can imagine what this mean. DEAD

same thought as Pride - reminded me of MOH. Looks nice, but I still think you should scrap those eod shacks - they look **** ( mainly the colours ), whatever you plan to do with lightmaps!
Also Id change the smoke on the beach, it looks a bit wierd the way it all goes up - try lowering some or changing the angle or maybe grouping some together.
PS Why is there a blue tint to the water - have you done your envmaps?

thanks, but the eod shacks are here to stay. Don't worry once again, the lightmaps change a lot. I've done a couple of tests and the shacks came up good. Besides, what else can i use?
and the water glows for obvious reasons (env maps are not done)

ok fair enough - its your map and its just my opinion anyway - im sure you guys would use different statics on my map too!
Do your envmaps - it only takes 5mins to do a basic job and it makes it look much nicer while youre playing about with it.

I know how to do it, it is isn't really high priority for me to do. I'm actaully changing up the whole usmc main, the carrier is a little farther away and the americans start on a small island.

do your surrounding terrain again (texture it and activate every heightmap) and add a small bit of texture onto your map,generate lowdet texture and save all.
that should fix it

i like your working but this is not ww2 and i think it is a very unrealistic battlefield to this timeage of technology, no country would sent soldiers in a boat to a coast that is defended by a lot of enemies with heavy weapons.

what is that? Is that the reality police knocking in my door? I knew this would of come up sooner or later. Listen man, it is still a game, and if it works out well, then devs just might (might) implement it.

i am not a reality police but if i download a game which is called project reality i should think it is close to the real life. of course it is a game but battlefield heroes could bring up a lasertank which destroy everything and they could they"it is only a game" but it wouldnt fit in the game.(its only a example)
i am not against your work but this map doesnt fit in the project reality gameplay this was that what i mean. I dont know if i am alone with this opinion but finally the devs will decide.

I agree it looks a bit WW2 - its already been said it looks like MOH first level, but Im sure the beach is only a small part of the map. I think the main thing which makes it look WW2 to me is the tank traps on the beach. As for beach landings being unrealistic - well it hasnt happened for a long time, but it could happen and armies still train for it.
