Ye i've been in more hotzones than most - served 7 years in Regular Army and 5 in Special forces and have gone into combat very often with limited equipment, knowing i'd be dead or in control before i needed resupplying.
I do see your point about taking in a mass of equipment but not if you are part of a penetrating force.
Current Marine skins just don't look right...

Well yea, if your objective is to capture, and move on. But that's now what i've been doing. Sorry to discredit you, didn't mean to. My fault.the_ultimate_maverick wrote:Ye i've been in more hotzones than most - served 7 years in Regular Army and 5 in Special forces and have gone into combat very often with limited equipment, knowing i'd be dead or in control before i needed resupplying.

My missions have been to hold certain objectives. So you ever go to Iraq? Mosul? I might have seen you up there. Got to work with a bunch of nice Special Operations fellows up there. Always cool and easy to talk to.

I was in Iraq until about 3 months ago, was on rotation back here, and shipped out again.
Did my first op about a month ago and got hit in the leg on the long walk home. Currently in UK - what unit you with? US I presume?

I was there about 7 months ago. Came back home late september, 05.
And yea, I was with a Stryker Brigade. 1st Brigade, 25th ID. 1st Bn, 24th Inf Regiment. The good ole "Deuce Four".
Sorry to hear about the leg hit. Purple heart? Man, I should have had at least 4 or 5 by now, but luckily I was never tagged by anything. Not even from an 81mm landing 60 feet away from me. Funny thing was, I was tagged in the leg from a lock my team leader blew off the door. Go figure.
