unless you're a journalist
Only problem with this server as of late is there are no mumble admins on if the lovely and talented dispo and Cougar aren't on. Also, there was alot of teamswapping last night, though I suspect that was a one off.

A number of us devs frequent TG (being in North/South American timezones) and can and will admin mumble when required while in channel. Just mention it to us if you see us online and there is a problem.

do you guys kick "by hand" to make room for those who pay or is it an automated system?

The longest playing, non-supporting member is kicked.

It is done automatically. The server runs a script in the background. As Google said, it kicks the non-supporting member who has been playing the longest. There is very rarely any human interaction involved with the SM-kicks.
However, the SM script has a delay on it. If a bunch of SMs are joining in a short period of time, the amount of people will reach 64/64, and should that happen, a SM can talk to an admin, and they will kick a random player manually to make room for that SM. This is not common.

well, this kinda pwns my rant on its base, thats why i asked, would be pretty silly writing wall of whine to a script
but still it was sad to be kicked after 30 minutes of playing just because i was one of the 1st who re-joined server after crash

I shall now quote the first post in the thread.
OP wrote:
1. Non-supporting member joins a "full" server (62/64)
Two player slots are reserved to allow the script to process joining players. The server is FULL at 62/64 players. When a non-supporting member joins the server when it is full (showing 62/64), they will be "kicked" after fully loading the map. Unfortunately, we cannot edit the following kick message to indicate that the kick was for a supporting member, and not due to your behavior.

When this happens, just re-connect once the server population drops below 62. Also, be aware that the in-game browser doesn't always show the updated player-count.

The beta works out really well on TG. I'm sure i'd be complete chaos on most other servers.

i noticed in the rules in the inital post that firing on a mosqe is not allowed, ever, and that you claim this is because of current ROE. i would like to inform you kind fellas that the ROE is that if we recive fire in Iraq and that it is coming from a mosque that we are allowed to fire back, with acurate aimed fires, and only with PID, (fire only when fired uppon sort of thing).
thanks guys

Nah, the rule is probably there to stop twats camping the mosques on Basrah and Ramiel, so the Insurgents can't get out and the ROE thing's a backup claim...?

think of it from the admin point of view.
"OMG BASERAPE"
"they shot at us first"
who knows what really happened?
best to just not let it get to that position.
