Why was this moved, did you even read the thread thermis?

This is clearly not a hardware issue

I have to agree with Frank on this. This thread was debating FPS related issues/comments. It has nothing to do with technical support nor does it have anything to do with bug reporting. It does not appear to be a hardware issue.

im also agreeing on the point that it cant be a performance problem, because i got those drops in the FPS on Beirut only when im near the new modeled buildings and when i turn arround its all fine. i think it may be because of the textures witch are used in them (only suggesting...). But on the Silent Eagle map i dont have a drop of FPS even this map is much bigger...so it may be worth looking at the problem not only from the hardware point of view

WOW!

I ran PR 1920x1200, all high, 8x AA and 16x AF. Just like I've done previously.

On Gaza Beach, FPS was just ridiculous. Like half of the time it was under 30, sometimes from 40 to 60 and rarely above. Previously my FPS has been around 100.

Then again on Asad Khal, my FPS was completely normal.

I agree that it can´t be related to underperforming hardware, I´m running both ArmA 2, Flashpoint 2, Crysis and other high-end games perfectly on top graphics and I´ve allways ran PR on top aswell with no problems other than the occasional lagg.

It HAS to be something in the new content, I hope it gets found and if so, fixed soon... was planning a weekend of PR 0.9, now it seems PR is done for alltogether.. :(

I play with everything maxed out @ 1680x1050 with 4xAA on my ancient 7600GT (overclocked) and:

E6600 (stock)
2GB RAM (stock)
Win XP SP3.
this is proof that its not a hardware problem

I only tried one map last night (Lashkar), and I get some of the filthiest FPS rates I've ever seen. Just awful.

Its not a hardware issue

Replicate- join a map lashkar , fallujah or gaza.
Type in " renderer.drawfps 1 " in console
SLOWLY spin 360 degrees and observe the FPS dancing as youre facing in different directions

I have Athalon x2 5200+
4gb Ram
GTX 260

I normally run the game full settings and no Problems but for some reason I'm also getting 2 -3fps on Beirut.

Indeed. In some directions it jumps up to 100, while it dives down to 10 in another direction. Much "WTF" here.

E660 or w/e quad core 2.4ghz
8800 GTS 640mb
4gb ram
Vista 32 bit

1920x1200
High except for medium lighting/effects
AA Off
100% view distance

I used to get mostly good FPS only dipping to the thirties in thick foliage

Now when I play fallujah, or any map for that matter the FPS drop is significant

AND

When I dropped everything to low settings I'll get around 80 FPS until I look at FOLIAGE in masses like fields... Then its down to 25-15

Something has made the performance much worse...

Same problem. Experiencing it on every map I've played (All insurgency maps except korengal).

System:
AMD Phenom X4 945 @ 3.0Ghz
4GB DDR3 @ 1600Mhz
Sapphire Radeon HD5770
Creative X-Fi Fatal1ty Pro Gamer
Western Digital 1TB Caviar Black

FPS drop here as well.

Scoping in or deploying the AR has a delayed animation on a couple of the maps for me. I'm going to watch my fps closer and see if it drops real low when it occurs.

It seems that the mappers have used the static undergrowth heavily in a lot of the new maps, and it also seems like its what could be causing the problems. Not sure how though.

That's so it draws at distances farther than 30m or so.

Has everyone complaining updated their video drivers, DirectX and cleared their shader cache? What OS are you running, how much ram does your video card have and what settings are you using?

Seeing complaints of an 8800GT not being able to play on max settings doesn't really surprise me. May turn down a couple options like shadows and textures to see if things increase?

As ive said several times before, it has nothing to do with your video/graphics settings :(
