What?! This is madness! This situation would be the mother of all unpronouncables (think of an interesting eastern european name, than multiply it by 9000+). If I'd tell you my real name (which I won't) you'd probably hurt your own mouth by trying to say it out loud!

I'm Clooney in game - never had an issue really, although one time someone called me "Coloneley".. or something along those lines.

Oddly enough, some people have a tendency to mispronounce "Dackery"
mainly by replacing the A with an O.

I use my real name ingame, Jesper Nilsson (jespernilsson). Only the swedes get it right.. and sometimes the danes.

It usually ends in a "Jaaaaaaaasperrrh"

Used to use Danthom (Dan,Tom), but everyone called me Danthum

Changed it to WelshManDan, and now just get called Welsh, or Dan. Which is much better.

my ingame name is darkerlightofday. (I was young. oh so young. and it wouldn't accept anything else)
it is pronouncable, but quite a mouthful...
so I made my clan prefix "steve"

hmm.. I should probably change my name, atleast ingame. I'm known as Darktimes pretty much everywhere, but can't change it because I use it for over 40 websites and that would be just too much hassle.

hmm... is there a way to rename myself ingame without deleting my account?
or, is it safe to delete my account so that I can use my E-mail for a new one?
I don't really trust EA with accounts, you know.

The game doesn't care what email you enter. Just go with some random stuff.

Hhahahahaha!

Well, just make sure you wrote that down in case you forget your nickname (I know it happened to me once, after not playing BF2/PR for... 2 years?
Guys, when a new player comes, just answer his question and go on your merry way, instead of going berserk! It's THAT simple! :D

It's not a silent P.

P+H always creates an F sound. 'Flup-pull' is exactly right and that's how I used to type it to try and explain the pronunciation. Now I just say that it begins with F and rhymes with supple :p

People sometimes have problems with my nick, depending on who it is that has the problem I tell people to call me "ton" or "mjau" (like "meow")
Most hillarious was when some SL prounounced it like mooh (what the cow say) and somehow during the course of the came people started to call me "cow"

The nick come from a ooold preCS clan and when BF2 came we played that as well and I never botherd to change. (everyone had had a name that was in the tv show friends, Mjauington the cat was only one left for me)
