I'd like to see one of those KA-choppers... but most of all the Ka-52... it's included in POE1 (BFV)

Wow, you can really do backflips in choppers irl? I thought that was always a game exploit!

yes you can do flips in helcopters, but not all of them.

and i probley said this before, but i vote no to the hind.
MEC is a new army and should get new equipment, not some granddad of a chopper thats about to slip into retirement

Well I don't see why they can't have it. People are forgetting, no matter how many vehicles are put in Project Reality, mappers are the ones who get to decide what vehicles they have. The Hind can then just be another tool at the mapper's discretion when making maps. If they want it, they can have it. There's no need to replace stuff, it's not like you can only have one chopper per team. It's not like if this is added, all MEC maps will have two attack choppers which will majorly unbalance everything!

the hind is upgraded so it at least will remain another decade in service, both by third-party manufacturers and mil itslef (the newest version is called mi-35p or so) - but what people apparantly still dont get (oh, btw, the us army uses stuff that is about as old as the hind) is, that this SHALL NOT BECOME THE MEC ATTACK HELICOPTER (imho) but a replacement on some maps for the mi-17, the transport chopper - which give the mec a unique and finally a good transport chopper, because i rather sit in a hind than in a blackhawk or cow

edit: oh yeah, and question - why is the mec army a "new" army? they use an assault rifle that is even older than the m16 - the g3...

hhmmmmm transport chopper then that would be intresting, but bear in mind that bf2 is set 5-10 years into the future.

as for the G3 that was the exact reason i dont like it, the same could be said for the rpg7 they got, but i guess i just got to wait to see how the devs procede with the mec

bf2 was set in the future, yes, but they didnt say how far into the future and the game was already released back in 2005, so basically it could play now - but we´re playing pr not bf2 ;)
concering the attack chopper i was always in favour of keeping the havoc and perhaps adding the hokum

Yes, so remember, the Mi-24 HIND won't replace anything, it will just be an addition, and map makers can decide if it would be a better fit for that map.

I'm for adding the Hind, and everyone keeps comparing it to the attack choppers, gotta remember its as much a gunship as it is an attack chopper, its designed to cover troop transports as well as take them in, its office applications can be used similar to the Huey gunships of Vietnam. I'm for seeing it in because its almost a universal chopper, it has the troop transport capabilities with the offiensive armament of one of the attack choppers, it'd be a worthwhile addition assuming it gets used properly.
