I know, but the helicopter had a cargo bay that could carry a vehicle, much like the C-130. I was just trying to brainstorm some ideas abour how the C-130 could effectively transport vehicles.

MAKE THIS C130 JUMP CAPABLE. etc. allow us to walk out the door and jump out or somthing. cus that would be leet. tailgate jump wouldnt be bad either

If they did theoretically finish the C130 model with an interior, imported it into PR and allowed you to spawn inside while flying you'd likely either:
- Die quickly from colliding with the model
- Fall straight out the back (kind of pointless when you could just hop out like usual)
- Possibly stay inside for a bit sliding around and/or floating till you inevitably fall out or die

This wouldn't be completely realistic, but you could possibly make the C-130 static float above the map, and have people jump out. I think they did this in AA. It would allow an initial air insertion for a map.

If they did theoretically finish the C130 model with an interior, imported it into PR and allowed you to spawn inside while flying you'd likely either:
- Die quickly from colliding with the model
- Fall straight out the back (kind of pointless when you could just hop out like usual)
- Possibly stay inside for a bit sliding around and/or floating till you inevitably fall out or die
It works fine in AIX's Pavelow ;)

I can witness it too. I've been playing it and following AIX forums, so I know that is possible. I remember clivewil or kysterama explaining the whole logic behind it. So therefore it is possible.

If you could make a spawn point where you spawn into a position in the vehicle. (wasn't there spawn cars in an earlier version?) Then you could be circling at 2000m or whatever and friendlies could spawn, and jump out. Of course you could only have 7 people spawning, but that's still enough to regroup with a squad and jump together.

I'm thinking, crazy mountainous terrain map, with an airport in one corner, and the only access to taliban cave network is from above. Uber l33t spec0pz stilez. Lots of AA cannons so it's like WW2 on the way down.

It would be epic. Nobody would spawn at the start of the round. Except a pilot and co-pilot. Everyone watching their maps as it took off, waiting for it to get near the drop zone. Then boom, 30 people spawn and jump in seconds.

You'd also have to deal with it being shot down or crashed, or some griefer flying it over the airport for an hour. Maybe have a couple of them. Instant respawn when destroyed. So the idiot that crashed wouldn't have a chance to get the next one. Whatever it takes, it would be worth it.

As far as it not being the focal point of a map, and just being a regular vehicle. I don't think this belongs in PR, AC130 or C130. The maps are just too small. It would make a nice static for basrah and ramiel tho.

I think if u look at Dr Rank's "king of the hill" for Sangin this vehicle could end up being very useful. The two Combat zones would hav to b further away than they are in Sangin tho. Would need to look at a way for it to drop vehicles (WIMIKS) the same way it does supply crates with the parachute frm commander vehicle drop.

Meh, it works better, but you couldn't do it alone. You still slip around, and while you don't take damage I've manage to die in it (dunno if it was the same problem or an unknown experiment factor).

However, it's a start, and adding implosions would fix it.

I think even if this is rejected as a vehicle by the Dev's it should be used as a static. PR really needs a C-130 static for airfields and stuff...

It's would not balanced and the realism wouldn't be very good It would take half the map most probably for it to get to cruising height but it would be a very nice static to have on airports.
