Pickemup night was pretty good, Boogy was a great commander and has excellent micromanagement skills.
Typical standard set by TG had squads working together in a way I haven't seen in my 3 years of PR. We had our infantry in FAV's/on foot, scouting ahead of the tankers and spotting contacts, then keeping them occupied till the armor could obliterate them. At one point, I spotted a Challenger, lased it, and had JaFaR's SU-30 take it down, with the whole process taking awhoppingly low
30 seconds.
Got some screenies
here.

@ Darkpowder - Only a few buck$ a month and you're a supporting member of one of the finest communities. Problem solved too

I really enjoy your server, very professional in every way.
The server feels constantly moderated, and you're able to get an admin to settle anything which is great.
Best server for AAS, teamwork is pretty good also.
The only thing about your server that I hate, the reserved slots. That's just a plain deal breaker for me, I don't want to play there because of it. Your server is constantly full so I need to wait extra long to get in because of those slots. Besides waiting to join, I also get kicked randomly for someone. That drives me nuts, and I don't even rejoin because of it. Joining your server feels like a gamble to me, "Ok should I try and invest my time into making a squad or will I just get kicked in the heat of battle or using an asset?"
I understand you want to keep your server moderated, but these reserved slots are just too much. Please consider looking into other options.

Having played on TG for almost 2 years exclusively, I don't see any problem with SM kick. Sure, it sucks to be kicked when you're in an APC, chopper- no doubt about that. But people have to remember, you are getting kicked for a person who donates his own money in order for the server to be up and running. Without them, I (and a lot more others) wouldn't have a chance to play on the best PR server and have the best PR experience.
I usually join the server when theres around 55-60 people or when I help seed I wait until the server has atleast 50 players afterwards I leave and rejoin so I won't get kicked right away. Even when I'm kicked it usually takes around 5 minutes to get back in the game, I just go outside for a smoke, come back and voila- connecting to TacticalGamer server.

I know that, but donating...and getting a reserved slot in return is like buying a reserved slot.
If you really cared about something you would donate for nothing but respect.

or think of it as being able to log in when you want to play and have a quality round instead of having to wait for a spot or find another server.
TG is by far the best server I have played on and Im willing to drop some money to enjoy PR.

The money doesn't just go for a reserved slot on the PR server. TacticalGamer is a huge community with over 20,000 registered forum users, multiple game titles and a ton of benefits that are provided free of charge. The cost of hosting all of these titles, forums, etc. is absolutely huge, with literally terrabytes of bandwidth being used each month by the community. The SupportingMembership program is what pays for the community and allows everyone to enjoy all of it for free. One of the perks that you receive when you support the community with your wallet is the ability to log on and play when you want. This would seem to make perfect sense and would seem to be a fair compromise.

I know what it goes to, but joining then getting kicked after working hard to get in position is just awful.
Maybe I'll limit my time there...

Nice idea, it would certainly be aligned with TG's principles of insisting on serious tactical gameplay. Would add a nice edge if combined with the current script of "longest playing player" who are non-supporting to kick. You would not get interrupted in the middle of a key bit of coordination or directing your squad, and you would be very aware of the "penalties" for dying

The kick happens as an SM joins, so it wouldn't work of someone joined when there wasn't anyone dead, who would get kicked? Then what about those " useless" people that you described earlier that sit in main and don't do anything, they won't die and so won't get kicked. The SM kicks have been discussed to death, it's not going to change and although it isn't perfect, it's the best it can be while
still fare to all the players on the server.

Why is there only a re-occuring payment for supporting memberships? Why can't I just pay for a single month?

I'd just rather pay by installments that I administer rather than having PayPal do it automatically.

fair enough, it's a shame he's not about because i think rudd used to do something similar. As in SM one month then he wouldn't be, then he would for two months etc

There is an option to pay w/o paypal.
I have paid month to month in the past so it possible.
