What do you think about a Improved infantry Weapons Aiming system?

Post by StickyNick »

One thing i first notice on FPS games is that there's a lack on the aiming system.. but i gotta say PRs deviations is one of the most realistic i can see around, justly like OPFP and ArmA.
What i really think is going to make a lot of people happy would be a faster aim down the sights movement,but.. i know you just asked yourself "if your aiming, why would move so fast? isn't that going to make it impossible to aim?" Right! but,do you guys see anyone Aiming down the sights for a Room-to-room battle? i meant, you really need to move that slow, just to shoot someone 2meter spraying at you whit hip-fire? obviously not so,i would like to ask you guys opinion about this idea:
Did you guys noticed that some sniper rifles on PR have 2 Zooming levels? so.. what about we using these "Zoom levels" for every weapon? but.. whitout the zoom of course! if we use these 2 levels for more stances, the no zooming at all level "Hip-fire"Position,and the first Zoom level for a better Shoulder-firing but, whitout aiming down the sights just for CQB "Close Quarters Battle" and the last level for Aiming down the sight, simple!

This is my first post in here, sorry if i have mistaken the post location, and sorry for my english.. "imma newbie"

Welcome to the forums!

You only have one post and it's right after a release; two reasons that make it currently impossible for you to post in the suggestions forum; this also means you (or, right now, anyone) should not post suggestions until the version has been played for a while by everyone and you're more familiar with the forum to avoid re-suggestions and such.

Now, I'm not sure if this has already been suggested exactly like that, but I see a few problems with it. Having three zoom levels on one weapon would make using that weapon rather awkward and it would take longer to switch to each of the levels; noone would use the ironsights in close quarters anymore, due to the fact they can't switch back anymore.

What you can do, however, is crouching while clearing a room; that's already possible now:
When crouching and sighted in, you go into a "combat glide"; you actually move faster than you do while walking this way, while also being a smaller target. Quite well suited for room clearing.

though I've always wanted to figure out how to get the scopes to do that as well as ironsights

Welcome to the forums.

As this is a suggestion outside of the correct forum I'm going to have to close it. Please don't let this deter you from posting suggestions in future, just wait until you've been around a while longer before doing so.

"I love the smell of napalm in the morning. You know, one time we had a hill bombed, for 12 hours. When it was all over, I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' dink body. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory. Someday this war's gonna end... "
