Coop IP connecting issues

Ocasionaly my friend and I would go pWn t3h botz on coop to let of some steam, try new things,...
Since I updated my home network (added rooter with wireless for laptops) he can not connect to me as the router is probably blocking acceSs. He also has a router and I can not connect to him.
Any suggestions?

If you are hosting the coop game you will have to "open" the appropriate ports.
It's a firewall setting within your router usually called Port-Forwarding (Battlefield 2 TCP UDP port setttings and minimum requirements). You will have to consult your router's manual on how to do that.

Do you have to apply these settings in port Triggering or in Port forwarding ?

Apply, save and might need to reboot router
