Putting together a training Event

Post by SGT.MARCO »

I know that it is summer and many students and .96 users may be new to the fact of how to play. I would like to pull together a crew of people who would be helpful in making a sever training event

Image

In order to host the event it would be nice to have a server administrator host the server and name so that we can host it. If any server admin would like to lend us the server WEDNESDAY around {1700} it would be much appreciated.
-with mumble included-

The Trainees will learn the following
  • Basic controls and bindings
  • mumble and overlay
  • weapon/kit training
  • FOB and deployable basic
  • Asset training
  • Mechanics of PR
  • Slight Vehicle training
  • Squad/fireteam training
  • Formation and tactics
  • Squad play
  • etc.
I will need Veteran players who can teach at least one of the following
  • mumble help
  • kit training
  • vehicle training
  • Squad play
  • Formation and tactics
  • and any other volunteers
  • (must be BIG TIME mumble users)
IF any server admins can help please use the rcon tools used for deploying vehicles, kits, and spawn mechanics.

If interested please comment below or send me a messages stating you can help for Wednesday or possibly Thursday depending on how fast this can be done.

also if you are a new player interested in being trained please comment below or message me. I will send out information asap

This is a good idea.

I can help teach pretty much everything about the game.

My strong points are:
  • Vehicles
  • Kits
  • Squad play
  • Mortars
My weak points are:
  • Some Jets

Hey! I've been playing deployment on PR for about 1 week now and am still very new to many of the concepts. My goal for training would be:

1) Learn how to use mumble! I'm not real sure how to use it.
2) Learn to become an effective squad member, and eventual squad leader.
3) Learn formations, good FOB placements, and good kit combinations.
4) Any other advice you or any other members of PR will have for me would also be received with utmost interest.

Wednesday would work best for me, but I'm not real sure when you guys are going to do this. If you could get back with me on what you trainers are going to do it would be much appreciated! I look forward to being able to do some training.

Also, my location is in the Central US.

PRTA as been kind enough to lend us their server to host the event. Anyone who wants to be teacher for the event tomorrow and Thursday must join the server at 1630 PRT. I will be sending a message to those who want to teach the event.

A thread shall be going up tonight, thanks for the support and i am looking forward to a excellent event and a new batch of PR_soldiers

Whatever questions you might have we can definitely answer but I wanna prepare the best tips and tricks i can come up with since you properly wont know all the questions which to ask.

Most of all we should have some fun while learning and I'm sure we will have.

This is probably the 5th thread I've commented on saying I want to learn. The reason you ask? I really want to learn all of this stuff!
