[Solved] [Win 7] Flashing line across monitor.

My harddrive got wiped somehow when I woke up and I reinstalled windows 7 and installed all my drivers and since this has happened I keep getting this black line flashing across my screen. Heres a picture of it if you look close you can see it in game.



Whatever info you need to help me let me know.

I am assuming you took a picture with your phone?! Or why is it portrait mode with so much black and low resolution?

Check the cable maybe it is not connected correctly. I am thinking it might be a hardware failure.

Since your hard drive got wiped too I am thinking that you might have had a surge. Was there a storm with lightning in your area? This could wipe the HDD and break the monitor. If it is so, its an hardware defect you might have to get a replacement and some insurances cover damage by lightning. And your PC is probably not going to last much longer too.

Do you see that line flashing all the time or just in PR? How about vBF2?

Yea took it with my phone since that's the only way I could show you lol, and It dosn't happen in all my games it happens at the desktop and in PR. There was a storm at the time to. The flashing line really only happens when there is something moving on my screen like watching a movie, or scrolling up and down when I'm visiting a website if that makes sense.

If, when you make screen shots ("Ctrl + Printscreen", while scrolling) that line is not showing on the screenshot I would really say its a hardware problem. Try with connecting a different monitor if you can. Or connect to a different port of your graphics card.

Also check that the frequency you are using is supported by the monitor or even the native rate.

I reinstalled all my drivers again and it's fixed now. Thanks for your help.
