Hi there. I have just installed the PR 0.966 update. The game loads but when I log onto a game it resets to desk top. The game loads up to the "SQUAD ASSIGNMENT" screen and then resets to desktop. All was well on 0.957 but problem has started since installing 0.966 update. I can't load on 0.957 or 0.966
Server I was trying to log onto
[FLN-LF#3] PR 0.95SP MapPack EnemySide (124.212.171.44.29930)
This is a single player server. I am new to PR so it's good for me to practice on without getting abuse about being a new player. I have tried logging onto the 0.957 server but still same problem.
Any ideas?

Re: Desktop reset
I had this problem when I edited a map's files and forgot to restore my originals. Basically it loads up the majority of the stuff fine but then there's an inconsistency and BF2 exits in a less than graceful manner (CTD). When you don't have a map and try to join a server afaik you just straight CTD, but if you're using an older version of the map or a different version entirely it'll CTD nearer to the end.sapper1893 wrote:Hi there. I may be completely wrong though, it was over a year ago that I'm dredging this up from my memory. I hope it helps in some way.

Re: Desktop reset
Maybe the server(or you) have modified GPO.con or Init.con?
This is most problem for clients in my local, when they connecting to me
