I just downloaded this game called Alliance of Valiant Arms from steam, and for some reason whenever I start it I get minimized and I get the error
"The instruction at '0x00000000' referenced memory at '0x00000000'. The memory could not be 'written'. Click on OK to terminate the program."
I don't think this is a memory problem, because I know I have more RAM and more hard drive space than the game requires. My friends have never seen this problem and have no idea how to fix it, and neither do I. None of my other games do this, only this one.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Tommy-T-Gun
EDIT: I just realized that I can actually go back into the game after I get the error, but I will eventually then be kicked out either by the "not being authenticated by GameGuard" (the games anti-hacker program, like BF2's punkbuster), or I will get the error "Due to an unknown error, the program has been terminated"

Re: Referenced memory error ?
This appears to be a very game specific error. My suggestion is you ask in the steam forums or the game's forum.
However there are usually general things you can try:
However there are usually general things you can try:
- Turn off security tools to see if they interfere. (only recommended if you are sure that the program was supplied by a trustworthy source)
- Run the program with admin privileges.
- Update your drivers.
- Check for corruption: use steam to "check integrity".
