0.96 Installer Error

Post by Backtrack3d »

I have 0.95 installed and was playing it for a long while and never had any problems updating before. I haven't changed my registry or nothing of nature nor changed computers/ moving the folder. When I try and update it tells me I don't have PR installed but I actually do. I've tried the one fix with downloading the registry that one guy posted (forgot your name sorry) and still had no luck. I've tried running as administrator and everything.

Heres a picture of my reg, bf2>Mods>pr folder (didn't get the whole thing in the shot), and the message I'm getting.

I know others have gotten this error and I've tried what was suggested without it being resolved on my end.

If anyone has an idea, please let me know.

Cheers, Cody.

Have you tried running the installer as admin?
With UAC off?
AntiVirus disabled? (should only do this if you downloaded from a trustworthy source)

You might need to download the full installers and uninstall the old version.

Tried all that with no luck, I might just have to uninstall all of project reality and start again as much as I'd hate too.

i saw another thread besides the one sniping posted but there were no fixed on that one either. Seems the only way to remedy at the moment is to uninstall and do a full install. Sorry. Will keep a look out for anything new.
