The Game is Not Working (for my friend)

so.... my friend got 64 bit pc with direct x 11 card.
when he launches the game nothing happens ! when he look the task manager the pr just dissapear after a couple of seconds. we updated 1.41 and 1.5. and uninstalled many times.
and yes run as admin didnt worked. what to do ????

Install it with the admin user and thake Account management settings off before installing, worked for me (not sure if correct name)

...... okay. had the same problem and i'll tell you know. It could be anything in BF2 not working to your system just being stupid.
Before i go into detail make sure you have 64-bit drivers on the card.

So, uninstall the game.. like normal... clear out the registry with CCleaner.

Restart your PC. Make sure you have uninstalled the game. go to the game directory and delete ANYTHING in the bf2 folder. IF you have no mods you can just delete the battlefield 2 folder. (Yes, you may keep your profiles)

Install BF2 under Admin rights.. NO UAC.. NO compatibility mode. BF2 on 64-bit has issues with compatibility mode. Install the game.(if you have SF install afterwards) Update to 1.41.. Then update to 1.5. Put in the ALT-Tab Hot-fix. Restart computer.

Install PR Files.

Start regular bf2. log in.. load a map with settings you want..
Either play the map or dont. Quit the game.

Run PR not by the shortcut but by the actual exe in the battlefield 2/mods/pr directory.

Give it time to start up. let it sit.. think.. if the screen goes black after splash... its working. it may take 1-5 minutes. game should work.

GO PUBBING! or update PB.

You sure you took the account management settings off when installing as an admin and when going to play as your own user took them back on?
