MD5Tool Mismatch because of a faulty pr.exe shortcut?

Post by Mouthpiece »

I accidentally deleted the new 0.699 shortcut. So I went in mods\pr\pr.exe and shortcutted it to desktop. Now I'm playing PR through It and 99% I have no problems. This 1% is that ONLY TG kicks me because of "MD5Tool Mismatch \pr\pr.exe (len=2048 )" error. Is it because the shortcut is bad or something else?

I got disconnected twice because of this on the =]H[= Heavy Assets, very annoying since I was getting a good round in a AAV squad. They also had a 1 min waiting period, so got a bit pissed when my squadleader found another gunner (Not his fault). Besides that tragedy, I must say that things with the stupid PB is just getting annoying! Can't anyone just make a server where you have to request a password and await approval. This server would be without PB of course! This would maybe give everybody better connections...

I can't believe that anyone who would use their real PR nickname, that they have had for >2 years, would decide to cheat on a server like that. Maybe this kind of server exists already, just that I'm not exclusive enough =(

I created a new .exe file from the original PR file, but I'm not so sure if it works 100% yet. Would be a fix if someone could upload a fresh .exe file.

Yeah, someone please upload a fresh .exe desktop shortcut. It's so stupid that it's happening only when playing in TG, and in nighttime in Europe it's the only server when one can enjoy PR like it's ment to be enjoyed.

EDIT: Seems like this error is only happening to me when I'm playing in USA servers (TG, Hardcore).

EDIT 2: As I found the PR (0.95 and 0.96) install files in my Downloads folder, I decided to reinstall the whole thing. Let's see how will it go.
