Hi guys I'm looking into map making for PR, but stalling at the first hurdle ,
I just followed this tutorial....
https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f189-m ... dding.html
But BF2 Editor UI is practically unusable, and after setting up the editor it took ages to read all the files, I killed the process after about 30 mins.
What rigs are you running the Editor on ? I don't think my POS PC is up to it, or maybe I'm missing something important ?
thx

Re: BF2 Editor Requirements
Hmmm I don't even come close to your specs, nice pc btw
I'm having to use my old backup PC for the foreseeable future due to system failure...
P4 3.4ghtz
2 gig memory
ATI X850
ops:
It just about plays PR on low settings, Maybe I'm just good for statics for now.

Maybe of use to some ? No use to me, but says you can use up to 3GB and solves crashing for some.
I'll keep hammering at the editor, now I know the 2GB mem is not a problem, it lies elsewhere.
Thanks for the info.

ummm, I've been using the BF2 Editor with dual monitors for years now, although with Windows XP and Windows XP x64 and never had a problem?spooks2k1 wrote:Well I disabled my second monitor and it works perfectly now

Yup your right , It's just that it's such a crappy system I've given up maintaining it properly.
Just re-installed the video drivers and direct X and now is working fine with 2 monitors, I need to learn to tolerate this POS more, it's served me well in the past.
