Possible? More than 6 spots in a vehicle?
As we can't ask about BF2 as the engine isn't out yet and blah blah blah, how possible is it in 42 to make a vehicle with more than 6 positions?
Figuring out how to do this would make transport's a lot more effective.

Id say more so for clan matches. Having over 6 people at one flag is pretty overwhelming. Taking Lostvillage nopara for example, if you were about to cram 11 guys in a chopper, including a VERY trusty pilot, it would be pretty intense from the enemies eyes when they see a full loaded BH drop off all that man power.skrip00 wrote:Are more than 6 spots really necessary? Yes, and when the chopper takes an RPG, its 11 players waiting to respawn. APCs make fine multi-kill targets.
In clan matches it would be pretty useless as your putting "all your eggs in one basket". On LostVillage Nopara, you are probably better off with 2 or 3 squads capping points, using choppers when you dont have flags captured. At least thats how my clan won on that map.
Not to mention most clan games play with between 10 and 14 players on each team. So even if the max is 6, it may be fairly rare to see it utilized to the max, unless a map's gameplay and vehicle loadout forces it.

I see your still thinking of this as putting your points into DC. I guess in Lostvillage nopara you can just run from coaltion base to the flags, maybe this your tactic. Having a full chopper of 11 doesnt mean your gonna be landing on an open field, while the enemy is sitting their waiting. The battlefield is open enough to eliminate this threat, and even more so in BF2. You land a BH full with 11 in one of the alleys of LV, RPGs are useless vs 11.
And since when are clan matches played 6 vs 6?

yea, but 11 guys in chopper=fun for AA dude lol i remember playing that lvl in DC where all there was ,was choppers for the americans and i would pub and tourny/scrim and we would sit and wait with stingers and just relax for them to come you see one and like 50 stingers start going at the one chopper ahh those were the days.
"Mess with the best...get sniped like the rest"

thats exactly the prob with no para maps, if theres stingers on a no para map it makes things very very very hard on the transport choppers, which is one reason i see having no para on all maps to be a problem, on a map with attack helos you need to give people on the ground something to fight back with ie stingers but the stingers will wipe out transport choppers like its no ones business this makes landing a full BH or even hovering to fast rope a very dicey proposition
