Crash to Desktop when I try to join online server

Everytime I try to join an online game I crash to desktop. I dont even get to see the loading screen. Same story in Vanilla BF2. Creating a local game works fine and I can spawn in the map no problem. Deactivating the Firewall didnt help except for giving my computer aids or something.

Under Win XP everything worked fine. Joining a multiplayer game of ARMA2 works fine in Win 7 as well and I am logged in as admin.

Any ideas?

I remember having this problem once. Reinstalling both Battlefield 2 and Project Reality worked.
