Comprehensive small arms Deviation list for 0.97

In the interests of understanding the game more (including learning how each gun has advantages or disadvantages over the next) is it possible to have a table noting the deviation, recoil, damage, deviation when settled, target grouping on full auto values for each soldier carried gun in PR?

There was a table floating around, but I have a hunch it's obselete.

Please can we make this information public? I've played for a long time now and want some concrete figures to be able to understand the art (or science?) of being a PR infantryman.

Cheers. MM

I definitely support this! Knowing these kind of stuff would help a lot.

The deviation should be the same on all rifles except AK(47?), where its 20% worse IIRC. Recoil is different though...

I would love to have this! I would like to think that deviation will be the same on all assault rifles, but it would be interesting to confirm. Would also like to see a damage, accuracy table.

This is what I mean Arnold, everyone thinks they know but nobody is 100% sure and it would be good to know once and for all (and less frustrating sometimes to play). And I am sure there are differences that make a difference that none of us consider or realise.

I think(as everyone else does) "regular" rifles' got 4 seconds of deviation, while I'm sure(almost 100%!) sniper-rifles got 8 seconds.
If you move one second, you'll have to stay still for one second before you're "ready" to fire again.

The assault rifles all have equal deviation indeed, but I would be interested in the deviation of all other weapon types as well. How excatly do pistols compare to rifles? What about SMGs? Is it true that the MP7 has rifle deviation and power? How does the Makarov compare to a Beretta 92, damage-wise? The G3 takes 2 rounds to the armoured chest to kill, the M16 takes 3 - but until what range are these numbers accurate? What's the exact deviation of more exotic weapons like the unscoped No.4, the PPSH or the Skorpion, compared to other weapons?

And don't forget shot grouping and rate of fire, etc etc.

I don't want to discuss gun vs gun or get any explanations of what deviation is or does (use other threads), this thread is for experienced players who want a table of the characteristics of each weapon.

I'd like to get some dirt on the recoil characteristics while we're at it.

This would be a great idea, but i wouldn't put it on the mods to do this.

I'm sure the community could handle something of this caliber. I'd be willing to make the graphic & comparisons if someone dug up the initial data.

I've had a quick look, but I can't see anything useful in the Mod files. Where should I be looking guys?

Awesome, I can't wait to see a detailed overview of all the weapons attributes!
I wish you good luck at this, maybe this will make us rethink our weapons of choice

Hmm.. These are created by 'Bf2Editor.exe' .. Is there a simple way to gather this information? (Rather than manuall copy and paste it all into Excel).

Anyway.. Let's quickly compare the G3 rifle to USMC's M4:

G3 recoil
Vertical: 3.8/3.8/0
Horizontal: /1.2/1.2/1

M4 recoil
Vertical: 4/3.5/0
Horizontal: -2/2/1

But the M4 should be the M16A4 instead.

G3 turn dev: .15 .15 .05
M4 turn dev: 1.14 1.14 .38

Really? So when you turn with the G3 the deviation is only affected 1/10th to the degree of turning the M4?
