hey and welcome to the forums.
yes this is a BF2 engine bug that we cant work around but like you, what we would like to see is that players cant jump when they reach 0% stamina...
but, when a player dosent have alot of stamina left he dosent jump very high or fast, and really bunnyhopping is quite pointless in PR as it will only save you around 1 out of 50 times as 3 bulliets will kill you, and not like 20 in vBF2
anyways, hope you stick around on the forums

More of a mapping complaint than a jumping issue. Some maps have ramps with lips that would be 1 inch to two inches max. If you walk or run to the ramp and try to go up it you are stuck. The ONLY way to go up these ramps is to jump, using 50% of your stamina. And if the ramp is narrow you might miss the ramp in the jump and have to start all over.
I think they have set up the BF2 engine this way so that map makers can be as sloppy as this or another view would be so that mpa makers don't have to nit pick so much and can just whip up some good ideas and get the maps out to the players.
I will keep a list of the offending maps and try to make a post in the mapping forum. And if the jumping issue is going to be fixed in .4 then the map makers need to fix the included maps so that this is not a real PIA for the player.

this is usually a matter of the collision mesh being not quite a copy of the dimensions of the visible mesh...check those power plant buldings with the tunnel underneath (you know the one with the suicide ladder to the top)
That has one side step that is about 3feet high but you can walk right up it..
Its hard to tell when doing the level how accurate everything will be..BUT trust me, when spend alot of time walking, driving and flying around the maps by oursleves...(sounds lonely huh?)
Also the step height in PR is slightly lower than that in BF2 so these problems are common for ported maps...

true that'[R-CON wrote:IronTaxi'] when spend alot of time walking, driving and flying around the maps by oursleves...(sounds lonely huh?)
Stairs in bf2 are basically an invisible ramp along the top of the staris, so you glide right up as if walking a hill. It can be done on other points to use a sloping platform over a dodgy lip on the floor and basically make it invisible. So you seamlessly go over it, like asif you could lift your foor 3 inches off the floor irl......pfffff
