Maps not available

Kay there. I do have a imo unusual issue with the maps.
I need some practice on every map since i wanna bcome a good pilot knowing possible lzs and so on. I dont want to waste skilled player's vehicles @online servers so i often create locals for training purposes.

Issue i got: Some maps are missing. i can neither join nor host a local server with maps e.g.: jabal al somewhat(bf2 kubradam), iron somewhat, 7gates, ...

friends of mine do have and play those maps (even after upgraing to 0.97) and are ovsly able to even host them on a local server.

maps i do have and can both join + locally host:

al basra
al kufrah
asad khal
battle for quin
beiruth
desert rats
fallujah west
fools road
gaza
hellmand fields
hellmands return
hills of (insert chinese name)
karbala
kashan desert
kozelsk
lashkar
midnight
mutthrah
barracuda
archer
black hawk
phoenix
harvest
road rage
qwai river
ramiel
road 2 jalalabad
street 2
sunset city

others are MIA .
what i tried so far:
getting the map files from 1. former versions of pr
2. friends
3. old mappacks and inserting them in the "levels" folder

uninstalling pr and
reinstalling pr0.97
reinstalling pr0.96 + upgrading to 0.97

using bf 2 mapfiles

deleting bf2 / bf2profile folder in /mydocuments/

My current guess is that it has smthing to do with the exclusive server files for admins etc but that doesnt explain why i cannot even JOIN servers hosting the specific maps.

Pls need some help with this. anyone knows a solution

Are the maps that you can't run in the "levels" folder? C:/Programfiles/EA Games/Battlefield 2/Mods/PR/Levels

nop they are not neither client nor server file nor parent dir.
dunno why the maps have not been insalled with pr ( but im sure the installation files are not corrupt)

trying to move the levels into the folder they just dont display in the "create local" section map assortment (ingame)

EDIT: as i said, i got the files from somwhere else but putting them in the folder does not solve my problem, i still can neither join or host them

Here @ this very website dude. Used German Gigafront Mirror.
I even redownloaded the whole thing.
Isnt there an install package for the "common" maps or smthin.
installing sp mappack worked (as u can see -->mapnames) fine.

Hmm indeed odd...youre missing almost 30% of maps...as for kubradam and other bf2 maps those cannot be run in PR mod afaik, only ones that have been optimised for PR ( like ones from PR SP map pack )

If you cant resolve this, it might be either that your registry is corrupt, or some of the scripts in PR or vBF2. So You might want to start from scratch. Ununstall anything related to bf2 and PR and start over. BF2 - then any expansion you have ( SF, AF, EF ) - then 1.41 patch - then 1.5 patch - then install PB setup - after that install and check pbsvc - AFTER ALL THIS IS DONE YOU MIGHT WANT TO DEFRAG AND CLEANUP REGISTRY - reboot - now run bf2 first and make sure it all works - final step downlaod fresh copy of PR 0.97 ( torrent suggested ) - install it with all that comes with it - reboot - defrag - check vbf2 again, and then fire up PR and all should be fine.

Okay. Thanks very much for your help! I decided to pick up pr again exited for the new updated, mods and mappacks. Suprisingly I discovered that i was having the same issue as before (ingame). But i eventually figured that it works now using the dedicated server launcher for local games. Still odd, but solved.
I think case closed. Thank you!
