I have deleted my shortcut for PR and now when I try to start the game via PR.exe, it crashes after the splash screen. Used to to work before on the same PC. So I assume I simply need a correctly set shortcut.
How to recreate that?

can you show me the PR error log
it seems like you have the same problem as I used to have
delete the bf2 folder in your documents which should be in your user folder

Yes that actually fixed it. However what file exactly is causing it? I would like to avoid having to remap all my keys and settings again.

well i am not sure I thought it was windows 7
you shouldnt have to fix it more then once
