Does steam bf2 have problems?

OK so im planning on buying and downloading battlefield 2 from steam. Now I've heard that steam may have issues if you want to play project reality. Is this true? and also steam automatically updates battlefield 2 to version 1.5, so will i have to do anything besides download project reality core and all that good stuff?

Also i am so phsyched to start playin project reality again, if anyone has any suggestion on servers or clans that would be interested in having rookie or newbie of project reality please send me a message or post below. You should be fine, just do not use steam app to launch PR - use shortcut on desktop and do not use steam overlay, as Ive heard ppl had problems with it. You might try but if anything happens you know what to do. After updating bf2 to 1.5 there is no reason to use steam after that. One more thing is that you make sure you install PR in root dir of your BF2 game folder which would be "\Steam\steamapps\username\battlefiled 2\"

i have the problem with bf2 from steam that when ingame, after 2 min i get kicked and the message says disallowed program/ Driver.

Can anybody advise me?

Just disable steam overlay you will be fine

Open Steam app and go to Steam - Settings - IN-GAME - Unckeck Enable Steam Community In-game or just close Steam app when running PR
